Need help ASAP; ebay affiliate; how do i validate a domain?
Ebay sent me unique identifier and this email:The process is easy:

Create a plain text file from a text editor and in the contents put only your unique identifier (provided below).
    Save the file as 'epndomain.txt'.
Upload the file to the base directory of each of your domains that you would like to register.
Example: If your website is www.ebay.com, your file would be located in http://www.ebay.com/epndomain.txt.
Visit the Domain Confirmation Page when your domains are ready to be validated and click on the 'Confirm Domains' button.

can anybody help, i do not understand what i need to do?

.txt files are created using a text editor such as notepad or textedit on the Mac. You'll need to upload the file using a ftp uploader such as fetch, if you use firefox there's a free ftp ad on.
Post a link to your site lets have a look

You need to upload the file they describe to your own website.

If you don't have your own web domain, meaning you run your own website, you won't get approval to join the EPN.

Relache, Siotosh- thank you very much. I did what they said and received - domain validated. Do you know what will happen next?

Nothing, now you can use ePn links and your referral links will be accepted as coming from a valid domain for your account

In my recent experience Ebay send an email to say it's validated ie: they've found the text file on your domain, but it doesn't mean that you have been accepted yet. It took a good 3 weeks to get an email from them to tell me whether my website had been accepted into the program. In my case it was no - I hope you have more luck with them than I did! I didn't even want to use Epn on my website I only applied to use it here, lol. Oh well nevermind smile

I use GoDaddy, MS Expressions, and Explorer 6 (I hate the toolbar on 8), I also have an older version of FrontPage, but after it went down, I ordered FP on Ebay, son let me borrow his expressions, and decided to go with it.

I think I may have finally done the requirements right, but was blocked out for 24 hrs.

I opened a fresh pg I used microsoft expessions typed:

    <http://www.casinofunforfree.com/epndomain.txt.> then: my user ID #UTblah, blah,blah...

went over to GO DADDY on 2nd window opened, went to my files, created a file named 'epndomain.txt', with the ' ', then thought maybe that was wrong, and created another, with out the ' ' uploaded it, went to next area, pulled it up from files, and sent it over to the next box, so it could be sent out to the website.   Sent it to my web page, all looked normal. I went back to see if Ebay excepted me, and had red bold letters telling me I couldn't try again for 24hrs.

Monday evening Ebay told me I had 72hrs, and tomorrow will make the 48th hr. What am I doing wrong?

    Thank you,
    Penny
