Having one of those mornings where you wake up craving a donut and you are 30 miles from the closest one!  Little things missing in life can be the biggest bummer!  What's missing in your life?

      I love donuts!!!

a 'little' thing missing in my life is a LITTLE bit of wonder and excitement...life has become a bit too mundane lately

well jelly donuts usually help me, you would know about that.  I'm sayin is - life can be dull -it's the little things that you miss sometimes.  I miss uh, dancing by myself around the living room in the middle of the night while playing Jimi Hendrix.  No more Hendrix in the night for me - (I share a house)

Me Too! I feel so jipped. Adulthood was supposed to be exciting. Now I can stay up as late as I want...but I just don't care. It's nowhere NEAR as fun as I thought it would be.

What on EARTH did I think grown-ups were doing back then?

Um, I shave my head now. Unless the colorist can blend my flesh-tone; perhaps even highlights? lol

lol  didn't know that denno!  I am actually missing my hairbrush which has contributed to my general mood of dispair and intolerance this a.m.!

Denno I would love to see a pic of you with long hair! I love long hair on men. Hubby used to have it down the middle of his back, but when we moved to the lower 48 he had to cut it to even get a job. Grrr! If you're not in Alaska it doesn't fit, I guess.

I am missing my son, who is in Afghanistan for TEN MORE DAYS and then he gets to come home for 2 weeks. I can't tell you how much I miss him.

I do have one lying around here somewhere. Sorry to hear about your son in Afghanistan; my cousin's son just got deployed there.

I'm glad your son is coming home!  My best friend's son just missed being deployed for the FIFTH time (counting Iraq) because he was injured during officer's training.

missing hair - I know just where all my missing hair went!  Had to take out the shower strainer and fish out a whole glob of it!  Also there is always some to be found on my black turtle neck!

let's see, what else is missing?  Oh, goodness, I've misplaced my rebublican!

Yes, he'll be home for good. It's been almost a year, and that's a short time compared to how long some of those guys have been there.

Denno I will pray for the safety of your cousin's son. Afghanistan is a nasty place, unless he gets sent to Qantahar.

I'm also missing my glasses, I have to wear the magnifiers until I find them lol!

Youth! I miss youth! Why did I waste it so? Woe is me.

To each his own, Ralwus.  I spread my youth around a tad, too, but I'd never want to go back a single step.

Right now, I'm not quite certain what I'm missing, but I know my wife would say it's a shower.  Until I get the house completed to the point of being able to move in with pressurized hot running water, we've only got cold gravity feed from the storage tank. Which in winter, even here in southern Arizona, is not precisely to her liking for washing her hair, among other things.

      She's spoiled, huh.  lol

Have you seen Into The Wild?

I think of this when I think about your building home.
His shower hook up in alaska seems like it would work beautifully for your wife.
Go on ahead and spoil her smile

Hm.  Never looked at McCandless and myself as being on quite the same page...never burned any money deliberately, and wouldn't be likely to abandon good rice, for example.

There are shower hookups I could do.  Only drawback is time--right now I get about 5 to 6 hours of reasonably warm work time per day to work on the house, and that doesn't count the many "lost" days spent running to town for supplies or chasing meds, medical appointments, or counseling for Pam.  Got the original storage tank (sun-heated only tank, requires hot days to do much temperature-wise) set up just in time for weather too cold to help much.  By mid-April, a 2 p.m. shower should be fairly comfy.  But by then the "for real" setup should be getting close to finished, too....

Doubt our new house will remind you much of the McCandless bus once it's done.  Understand it for now, though. big_smile

I'm missing something in my life today but I can't figure out what.
I took a vacation this week, so I am home alone for the first week of 2010.

I felt this way yesterday, and then I realized I was missing my mail. I routinely pick it up on my way home from work. It didn't even hit my radar until yesterday...

I think I may be missing my mid morning snack. My bottom desk drawer at work is filled with mid morning snack food but I don't have any here at home.

I could use a nice frozen pizza right now... I'm missing that! perfect late nite snack.
