I blame the f*** heads whom are stealing power to sustain drug operations..How dumb are governmentS??
I confess that i have been involved with a drug circle, not any more, it wass only weed and i don't do that any more.
But the 'drug lord' is someone quite close to my partner and i , only by relation, we despise this person now..This person has $30,000 worth of electrical equipment which he runs in a shipping container, 8-18 hours a day, FOR FREE. An electrition has wired this equipment so that the power usage is undetected..and the rest of us will suffer.
I have not dobbed this person, but i am thinking about it,but iv'e givin my word of trust, even though i next to HATE this person now...If politics spent less time throwing money around and galivanting from country to country, then they may be able to investigate and control these things, so living for the average person would be more affordable..
So i'm not voting for anyone! Will you vote? I think we should all refuse to vote, coz each one is as bad as the next!! And all politics are out for themselves and don't care about US!!
The problem is if you refuse to vote the slimebags win. Rather a better use of your time would be making your vote count and go about making that happen. Just think in this time of economic troubles CNN reported that oil is at a 14 month high. Just because you quit doesn't mean they will. The rich just get richer.
You'll have to excuse me, but you're blaming "drug heads?" for that increase?
Let me ask you, do you own a television? If so, is it plugged into the wall when you sleep?
Most TVs consume anywhere form 20-80% as much aelectricity as when they are actually on as they do when they are off but plugged into the wall.
It's the same for just about every other electronic device.
There's a few other reason for the increase in price, what with oil going up and the supply of petroleum being limited. It's amazing that it still is the major source of electricity in the United States.
I actually have a timer between the TV plug and the wall socket. It will not allow any power to go to the TV when its not 'on'. It can be over ridden if I wish to watch TV late at night when the timer says to turn it all off. It was cheep to get the timer and makes a big difference so that I don't have to think about unplugging the TV and it works the same as if I had unplugged it. I actually have a lot of stuff hooked up to a timer because turning it off still uses power
Everything is going up at a crazy rate, but the good old paycheck for most people is lucky to increase by a couple percent each year. I believe that within 10 years between the cost of housing (although it has slowed down a little where I live in Australia), power, fuel and food costs that we will see some very tough times for a lot of people.
I don't think you can blame it on drug operations though, while people committing fraud does add to it there are so many other factors like the ever increasing demand for power as well as greed.
It is not just the electricity companies putting up prices either. I don't know what fuel prices are like where you are from but in Australia you watch them at the beginning of the week at a low price and because a lot of people get paid towards the end of the week here and they know people will want to do stuff on the weekends, BANG the price goes up 15 - 20 cents a litre. That to me is just plain greed. You can't blame that one on the drug dealers!!!

Where i live, power is limited. I'm against tv. I watch it very seldom, as i think it's a brainwashing machine.
i'm not solely blaming the drug growers whom run 1000 watt light up to 12 hours a day, but where i live, i'm certain that others will suffer becasue of it
I take back the not voting thing. I just posted this thread out of rage when i saw something on the news. Iv'e calmed down after a nights sleep!

I recently came to the conclusion that no new house should be built without solar power, and solar water heaters installed.Currently solar power cells cost more per kilowatt hour than conventional power does. But, what if the EPA manned up and pushed for new buildings to derive a certain percentage...

Do you believe that within the next 60-100 years in American society and culture, religion willbecome a thing of the past as more people will elect to become religiously unaffiliated, pursuing their individual and more independent spiritual paths?

How will American views of God evolve within the next 60 to 100 years to a more exclusive, spiritual, universalistic level of consciousness and away from the more immature, judgmental, and controlling entity? Also, within the next 60 to 100 years, will Americans adopt a more intelligent,...
