I have been sick for a couple days. I slept all day on Monday, and half of the day on tuesday. I guess taking Nyquil with a little alieve isn't the best idea. But, this is the first time I have been sick in over a year.

I was checking my Amazon affiliate, and I think I accidently signed up again, instead of logging in. I hope I didn't create 2 accounts. I'm usually pretty dizzy when I get sick. So, I'm pretty sure I messed that up.

Also I signed up with analytics. It says I only have 1 hit from austrailia. So, I'm guessing I probably screwed that up too.
Considering that I have well over 200 according to my account.

Anyways, hoping something gets going here soon. I'm upt to 19 cents on google adsence...wooo.

i use coconut oil in my tea, coffee and baked goods. on my toast. on my skin. hah and i use it on my family, we all barely got the slightest cold around the same time (right after i ran out of coconut oil, go figure)
don't know if this is what keeps us from getting sick or getting sick as bad as we could, but it definitely couldn't hurt!
i do know that coconut oil has been found to kill viruses, so if that is what you are suffering from it could at least deliver a solid punch.

      vitamins c and d.

i believe star anise is the active ingredient in tamiflu. garlic is great for immunity and fighting off bugs.

do you get sunshine where you are right now?
strange question, but i blame my most recent crippling bout of depression on the ongoing lack of sunlight this winter.

      yoga always perks me up...
being limber enough to do a shoulder stand delights me.

i was driving down the road the other day and there was a miniature horse with a little person walking it across the street. big_smile  priceless.

i don't know if i cheered you up, i hope so.
i'm definitely 10% more entertained, thank you. smile

Sounds as though you are a bit down on yourself, being sick and all. Hope you get well very soon, and get chipper feeling again as well! What I do when I am down on myself, is remind myself how many others have it so much worse than me right now. It's been a hard time for almost everyone the last 12-24 months, and I think we have all had our down times. I know when I finally got well from my surgery last year, I tried to remember how awful I felt and how scared I was during all of that, and how much better things were for me now. That alone made me feel better, and still does every time I get down.

Not feeling down on myself. just sick. But thanks for your kind words. I took a nice long bath around midnight. That seemed to help, but still feeling a little dizzy.

I'm the kind of person, when I don't feel well, I do stuff. If it was summer, I would be at the beach just watching the waves come in, with a hot cup of tea and a blanket. Allways helps.

If you're using Nyquil, I'm guessing it's a head cold you're fighting.  Hate those with a passion.  Used to come down with every one of 'em that passed within three counties of my current location.  Not so bad lately, but even a hint in that direction gets me reaching for the UltraSilver (super powerful version of colloidal silver), trying to remember the last spiritual (not religious) healing exercise that actually worked for me, and longing for lots of rack time.

Worst one I ever had might have been back in my college days.  Sick as the proverbial dog during Final Exams time.  Remember a Chemistry test, I was so sick (neither Contac nor penicillin doing much good, if memory serves) that after I turned in the color coded pages, all I could remember was the color of the front and back pages and one in the middle.  Flunked the exam big time, pulled my semester grade down from an A to a C...but still passed.

Hope yours isn't THAT bad!  lol

I have seasonal deals when it comes to illness. I am prone to getting Bronchitis, and laryngitis (if I spelled that right.) And, it comes with a nasty ear infection that causes the dizzyness. But, this is just a really icky stomach thing, with a cough, I don't think it is serious.

But, I have been sick to the point of being in bed for 2 weeks
in the past. Really fun when you don't know wich part of your body is going to spew chunks from one minute to the next.

Nothing like that this time around. I just hope it doesn't last too much longer.

    Thanks for sharing miseries!

It is always good to watch what you eat before an stomach problem, and just drink loads of water, not much food. Bananas good as are apples, yoghurt  slippery elm is good for the stomach, and taking apple cider vinegar regularly is a great cleanser, you put it with water, hold your nose as it goes down, To help against the ear infections, you need echinacea and olive leaf tablets, these are alternatives that really work.

You're welcome.  Good idea to watch those ear infections when you get 'em, by the way.  One dang near killed my sister in Montana at age 50 before her daughter got her to the RIGHT doctor.  Had to do some kind of quick surgery plus humongous antibiotics to get both bug-kill and drainage going--it had gotten into her bones.

Not to mention that she's a Registered Nurse, as is the daughter who realized her Mom wasn't her usual self and wasn't getting the right treatment from the first two doctors.

    Hi Brimcandy,
You need to be properly examined by your doctor to find our what is making you so sick. You might have some kind of viral infection like one of those that last from 24hrs to over a week.
I have had them and they can make you very miserable indeed. If you tummy is upset, you need to stay on bland food, stay away from dairy food and fatty foods. These will only make you worse while you feel icky in the tummy.A nice relaxing bath is a good  idea also, it can work wonders.
Drink lots of water as well, not in large amounts at a time, sipping small amounts at a time is the best way to drink water. Gulping it down can produce wind effect and this is then another problem. Rest is also important, to allow you body time to repair itself. You should start to feel better soon if you do these things, so long as it is nothing more serious, and this is why I would suggest seeing a Doctor. Good Luck and look after yourself. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. Beautybabe.

I'll cheer you up, Brim. They say misery loves company, right? I have an abscessed impacted wisdom tooth. The whole left side of my face, throat, and jaw hurt. Now do you feel better? lol.

I just returned from cold Utah where it seems every kid has a virus with green boogers running down their cute little faces. So I was lucky enough to catch the bug and can blow my nose for a couple of minutes straight and still stuff comes out. Yuck! Hoping for relief soon. Glad to be back in warm Hawaii right now.

Thanks for the responces everyone. No, still feeling kinda icky.
I live in Michigan, so it is dark here a good portion of the time now that winter has arrived. We get sun for a few hours than the lake effect kicks in and we get clouds and snow.

It has not stopped snowing at the lakeshore for several days.
I don't think I have been out of the house in a few weeks. Since I am not working, I spend most of my time at the computer.

man, cabin fever is the worst.
i don't even have to brave the snow, but with two (sometimes screaming) kids, who wants to leave, and who wants to stay? its a conundrum.

my mom has all kinds of diagnoses' and she uses a sun lamp, i wish she would give it to me as she is just as crazy as when she got it...but i do think that the sun lamp oughta be helpful for the average person just missing some sun.

try vitamin c and d. def.

and B monster by, either naked juice or odwalla is an instant pick-me-up...and it could be an instant pick-you-up for a mere $3.00 a bottle. *wink wink*

cheer up, KISS is rad. ;P
