OMG Page 1 in Google

   The first time ever in my life my hub is on page 1 number 3 out of 24 million hits on google. Sorry to brag but everyone is at work and I will burst if I don't tell someone. My safe ice hub. Woooo Hoooo I am so excited bet I can get the driveway shoveled with no problem lol.

      I've been on Google's first page numerous times. My hubs don't show up on the first page of when searching for various keyword combinations, but they show up high.
      
      Use social bookmarking sites. Your pages will show up on the first three pages of Google search results a lot of the time.

         Well Jeff if I am understanding your correctly ( and i may not be) I put in " ice is safe" in google and now its showing number 5 on page 1 out of 49 million results. woooo hoooo. Thanks Jeff.

            Yes, that's what I was asking. That's great! You also happen to rank page 1 for [when the ice is safe] without quotes or anything, but the phrase "ice is safe" is the only one showing with any searches in the Google keyword tool.
            
            It's always nice to see your own hubs in Google!

   i have a page that shows up as the number one result, but because the title of the movie is a misspelled version of a popular word, you have to force google to search for what you TYPED and not what they auto-correct it to...which kinda sucks...

   However, large number of my hubs remain in the first page of Google and yahoo search.
   
   I think it is because of unique content. I did not know about key word research until recent past. I have started it since few days after repeated suggestions in various forum threads. I have yet to wait to see results.

    Fishtiger, it is an exciting feeling - but the big question is, does anyone type in "when the ice is safe" or "ice is safe" when they're looking for that subject on Google?
    
    If you pick an unusual combination of words, it's very easy indeed to get on page 1 of Google for that title.  But it doesn't get you any traffic, unless people are searching for it.
    
    If I type in "when is ice safe?" or "when is the ice safe for fishing" or even "safe ice fishing", your Hub doesn't show up at all.  I'm no fisherman, but I'd think those phrases are more like what people would type in to get an answer, so they would make better titles.

       Yup you are right. But that hub was one of my first hubs. I really didn't know much about keywords. Jeff gave me some advice about them as well and I thank you for pointing that out to me too. It still was exciting and I will do better on my hubs with the keyword. Thanks again.
