How are hubs score calculated?

   It has something to do with #visits because it change daily, also there is a dupe content factor, and probably the overall score of the hubber figures in.  Also the comments.   and new comments would count high.  And maybe the number inbound links too.    I know it runs every 15 minutes or so.  Any hints about what the weights are on factors I should be able to look at my hub stats and calculate what the score would be.  And what makes hubber kick over from prodigy to expert.  Thanks  BTW while we are there how is the overall score for hubber figured.  New hubs lately, new fans, total fans,  hubs per week, recent visits, total visits, ad clicks(?)  forum activity, comments other hubs?  It is helpful to direct efforts to know which factor is holding me back.

   HubScore takes into account a number of factors, and will vary quite a bit from the time a Hub is published as data about its performance continues to stream in. The most important HubScore components that you should be concerned with include:
   
       * Amount of traffic, including percentage from sources other than HubPages
       * The length of the Hub (the more unique writing, generally, the better)
       * The uniqueness of content (copying content already available on the Web will be penalized)
       * The number of thumbs-up votes from unique users
       * The overall quality of the Hubber (author HubScore and Status)
   
   We reserve the right to change the factors used to assess a Hub’s HubScore as we continue to determine those that measure a great Hub.
   
   The bottom line is if you write original, useful content, your HubScores will reflect the quality and work you've put into them.

   Hahahaha  Great answer!    Actually,  you need  to translate the labels into Elvish, in the runic alphabet, either that or ogham.  It will make more sense to the average hubber that way.   
   
   I've read the Hub Pages FAQ but I was looking for actual weights or a formula or something.
   
   Every site like this has some  nerd who sets up shill accounts and does word count analysis and graphs their hub results over time, does SPSS scatter plots, calculates the correlation coefficient, basically reverse engineers the hubpages algorithm  and reports the results.  Or sometimes an engineer from the site will just get on here and tell you.

      We don't disclose the exact formula.  It's complicated, is subject to change, and we don't want people to come in looking for ways to "work the system."
