Okay, so I need some urgent help here.  Have just finished the absolutely final edit of the proof copy Createspace sent me.  I don't like my back cover and have redone it.  To be able to order my new proof copy, I have to have it finished.  But i am stuck, so completely and utterly stuck.  I want to make the back cover cause people to buy the book.  After all, i want to sell heaps of copies.  (Don't we all!)  I'm much happier with this blurby thingamebob than I was with my original one.  I want it to end with a question but this is where I am getting stuck.  What question?  What question would make a reader go, "Cool...."  Or maybe, I shouldn't have a question.  Oh help, I'm drowning in stuckness!  Okay, so here's what I've got.

CHRIS is ready for marriage and parenthood.
BILLY, his son, wants to be loved and accepted.
Born with a cleft lip to a mother who abandoned him when he was six months old, it seems that the odds were against Billy from the start.
Chris develops a relationship with Billy's caregiver, Stella, who turns out to be mentally unstable.
Chris begins to fear that their lives might be in danger.  With nobody in authority to turn to, Chris is forced to make a difficult decision.
The Case of Billy B makes one ask the question, "Do we create our own reality?"

Okay, should it be Do we create our own destiny?  Or should I stick with reality?  Or should I pose a different question, or not have a question?  Or, should I ask Are we the architects of our future or should that be destiny?  OMIGOD I NEED HELP!  Soon!

The Case of Billy B makes Chris ask the question, "Do we create our own reality?"
Do we create our own destiny?
      What would YOU do?

      That's what I would write, I think.

      Hey Cindy,

"Does reality bend to our whims?" smile

"Is our path in life to end at Destiny?" smile

I'm not sure exactly, if this helps or not. I'm not a book writer, and barely a writer to begin with. But, I gave you a couple of different questions, based on the same questions you posed.

      Thank you. smile

There seems to be little cohesive about it all. Perhaps find a way to tie it all together in one sentence or question.

I like 'do we create our own reality?'
    it can be also:
Are there different paths to our destiny?

Cindy, these are a few I came up with--maybe these can help...

'one of the most difficult questions to ask about life is--how to live it?'

'for each of us, there is one destiny that shapes our ends'.

Do you need something for each individual? Or just for Billy B?

I like "control" instead of "create".

"Do we control our own reality?"

    good luck smile

I like that. What about asking the same question twice?

Do we control our own reality? Do we determine our destiny?

Okay, so 'Do we control our own destiny?' or 'Do we control our own reality?'

Go with destiny.  It's a very universal concept, do we have a choice or is everything up to destiny?  Can we change our destiny or do our choices just lead us to our destiny by one path or another?

It's a tough call, but I'd stick with reality.

Control your destiny - makes me think of Star Wars. smile

seems to me that 'create works better with reality (like a present tense thing) and 'control' works better with destiny (like heading toward a goal).
On the other hand... I really don't know smile

Hmmm how about, Do we create our own reality?  Do we determine our destiny?

Maybe leave out control if it sounds too Star Wars

I like the idea of using the 2 questions you've written above. Those are nice..nice rhythm, nice sound, and thoughtful.

      Good luck!!

Okay, I like the determine so much, have moved away from control.

CHRIS is ready for marriage and parenthood.
BILLY wants to be loved and accepted.

Born with a cleft palate, Billy is abandoned by his mother at six months old.
His father Chris takes on the difficult task of being a single father to a special child.  A relationship develops between Chris and Stella, the caregiver, who turns out to be mentally unstable.

As the fear intensifies that their lives may be in real danger, Chris realizes he has no one in authority to turn to.  He finds himself forced to make a difficult decision.

The Case of Billy B grips the reader and asks, "Do we create our own reality?  Do we determine our destiny?"
