So I posted one of my hubs on there.  I am confused as to how to put it as being paid.  I have it as display onnly. I don't understand the way they have it set up as to my article being on other websites...If I have that article on here and on Ezinearticles and Go Articles--do those two count as other websites?  If that is the case then I will never be paid by AssociatedContent--correct?  I don't understand how it all works, can someone give me a step by step setup on my articles that I submit and in a beginner's format???
What does affiliations mean--does that mean like this site or like Amazon.com ect....

When you go to submit articles you have questions

    "have you previously published elsewhere"
In your case that's a "yes," because you already have it on Ezine and Go Articles (though if you have completely different wording so that they look like different articles, you can actually pick "no")

It'll  automatically do the rest of the settings for you. Notice one of those will be about your payment. Display Only means you get paid from total pageviews. 1000 = 1.5$, paid monthly via paypal, which might explain why many people have hundreds of articles and why they try to put a lot original articles so that they can opt for the upfront payment.

Thank You for that!  I really appreciate it.  So I am just like the rest that post articles everywhere and wait for a pitance amout of money to come in.  No big deal--I just lke to write articles.  It is everyone else who thinks that I should get paid to do something from home.  Most of them think that I don't do anything anyway and tha I just watch Soaps and eat bon-bon's or something.
I'll just keep on writing as I do see people interested in my Sewing Lessons--not comments but page views!  I got to work on my book too.  Which brings up another question and that will be on another message thred!

I don't know why you're going out of your way to post duplicate content over a bunch of sites.

By all means write on the same subject, but approach it from a different angle. Or make it more focused on one particular aspect. Or do a broad overview. But avoid republishing the same article again and again.

I published an article at AssociatedContent called The History of the Computer Virus. In the article I have a link to my hub on Free Antivirus Software.

At EzineArticles I published How A Computer Virus Works. Again with a link to my Free Antivirus Software hub.

Also at AssociatedContent I have Farriery: The Art of Shoeing Horses which in the body of the text I have a link to http://hubpages.com/hub/pimp-my-clyde

Use those sites strategically. Take advantage of the opportunity for a backlink and dipping into a fresh stream of traffic but also giving the reader a quality read. If you cross link your duplicate articles then the reader gains nothing by clicking through.
