      Hi ShallyD, can you assist?

Do I need a wireless adapter for a desktop if I'm setting up a wireless network and can still use my ethernet cable directly to wireless router? I only want to use wireless access to my new laptop.

As I'm a computer tech that works in a computer store I can tell you firsthand that they can only do so much online ... but some help is better than no help!

However, sometimes these 'online gurus' make the problem a lot worse. Always document what they have you do (or do for you) so if things go awry and you need to take your PC to a computer shop you can let the tech know what happened before the earth shattering kaboom. smile
