I have been a Hubber for the last 10 months. I have applied for a Google Adsense account and have received a message declining my application.
The reasons given are, quote
" Unacceptable site content: In order to participate in Google AdSense, publishers' websites and application information must satisfy the following guidelines:
*Your site must have been active for at least 6 months before you apply for AdSense.
*You must provide accurate personal information with your application that matches the information on your page.
*Your website must contain substantial, original content.
*Your site must comply with Google AdSense program policies:
https://www.google.com/adsense/support/ … swer=48182 which include Google's webmaster quality guidelines:
http://www.google.com/support/webmaster … 9#quality.
If your site satisfies the above criteria in the future, please resubmit your application and we'll review it as soon as possible."
I would be grateful if someone could advise me on what I need to do to get a Google Adsense account.
Google doesn't tolerate some types of contents. Like, perhaps, your hub with graphic depictions of animals having, you know...
The Adsense guidelines prohibit "Pornography, adult or mature content," so it comes down to how to define that. Just guessing, anyway.
The animal sex one was very well written IMO, and he did say he wrote it to see if that increased his viewing figures. It was a well-researched and interesting piece, and a quick glance at the others tell me this man can write well so I've no idea why he hasn't got his google adsense acount yet.
I agree with your assessment of Sabu's writing, IzzyM. I also am puzzled about why AdSense turned him down. I find it hard to believe that a well-written article on sex in the animal kingdom is the reason. If that were so, how much intelligent writing on the subject would disappear from the web just in order to pacify Google? Hopefully those who are knowledgeable about AdSense policy and process will have some helpful input.
Sally, just think of the vast number of applications Google must get every day. I bet they have systems to reduce the need for human intervention. Bear in mind that people have had Adsense ads removed from quite innocent Hubs because certain keywords were used.
Also remember that much of the other "intelligent writing on the subject" on the web doesn't rely on Adsense.
I'd agree, it's the title and keywords in that hub that are the problem.
My thanks Marisa. Perhaps i shall remove this and see what happens.
ST, thank you for your kind words. I wonder whether there is any way to contact Google Adsense for further clarifications.
Thank you for your nice comments IzzyM. Glad you have found the time to read my Hubs.
The animal sex hub was kind of interesting, and it was well written, and definately not vulgar.
Unfortunately I doubt the guys at Google adsense look in to things quite so deeply, and after seeing the title, may have denied you without any further concern.
I got an adsense account very quickly despite living in Thailand- I say despite because India and China are definitely discriminated against on the adsense front and perhaps that stretches to SE Asia.
I put together a site with 5 pages describing the Thai town that I live in, information rich.
It took time to master some html and CSS but then it got me what I wanted.
There are many free hosts. I used agilityhoster.
You can also make sites on Weebly without any coding knowledge.
I don't know if this would help you.
I think it is the subject that has caused it. You might try building up a Blogger site, then when it is esablished, re-applying for Adsense.
Keep the Blogger account fully legit, and then it should be easier to use the adsense code anywhere.
Seems the gentleman is from India and the site has to be established for six months prior to application. A simple solution might be to unpublish the hub in question (as well as any others that may cause problems), then reapply. If the application does not go through, these hubs can be reactivated.
Thanks thisisoli for your inputs. You have been most helpful.
Thank you Website Examiner. I shall do what you suggest. Nice of you to have taken the trouble.
