Why Ebay Why did you go ppc

   Just my luck Ebay decide to go pay per click and a watch sells from my tracker for £13743.29 I would have earned £304.00 from that sale alone, but all I get is 0.09 cents for the click.
   Just my sweet luck lol
   has anyone else lost bigstyle since the changeover?.....jimmy

      Massively. Very pissed off. I was making E80-E120 every time I sold a bike. Now it is pennies per click.

   absolutely, I sold around 50 PS3's during the holiday season at 300 each!
   
   AT the time my QPC was only around .40, grrr!
   
   But I still think my personal earnings are still about even since I get steady daily earnings now and I used to just get random commissions. (Hubpages only)

      Oh yes. I am more upset with the amazon change. That has cost me $400-$1,000 a month.
      
      Still - at least you did not get booted off as some have. Live and learn.

   I actually do better with the new EPN than the old model. However it's still only crumbs compared to what the quality affiliates were getting under the old system.

   After reading the comments here I don't think I will even pursue trying to get into eBay's program. I've read its difficult and now it doesn't even seem to be worth it. eBay's loss, not mine.
   
   I'll just stick with Amazon.

   It seems like you are curious about why your keywords are low value. It is because the key phrase more target and not that many search results and competition, which is good. You can target that keyword and promote to it.

      did you read his post?  He is commenting on the fact that Ebay switched their pay out model from a commission percentage to a price per click.

   What is the sense in this change? OK it saves them money, but what is the point of writing quality articles about products if the best they can offer is to pay per click and not per sale?
   I wouldn't bother writing Amazon hubs if I was only going to get paid for clicks...or would I? I get a lot more clicks than actual sales LOL

   I thought I would give their system a good chance to work since a couple of my hubs had been doing ok with ebay when they paid commissions, but it all faded to zero for me. My qpc was good enough for the program but they just stopped paying me. I'm fairly sure their quality click program is just a way to get free advertising. I've pulled their ads from most of my sites and only have two pages running ebay, they're not paying me for clicks on either one in spite of my trying to focus them purely to their listings. So I have no idea what the point of that is for people like me. Established sellers seem to be doing ok with it. I'm opting out, won't be writing anything more with ebay sales in mind.

    In the UK there is a thing called ebid.net which has been going for years and is recently starting to pick up.  However at the moment I believe the only affiliate deal they offer is $2/£1 per sign up.  Maybe they offer others though which are better?
