Can We expect a Mail Box, for receiving - sending Personal messages between Hubbers within Hub pages, other than Forums and Comment Boxes,Fan mails.
This will also help the Admins and Hubbers to easily contact each other, because, most people will be logged in to their hub pages account, and this will be more easier than checking Emails.
That can be fine, and there should be an option given for ignoring!
its a good idea if you find your mail box just after sign in to your A/C. This will improve interactivity between hubbers and then hubpages will look like a perfect Social networking Site.
Except that Hubpages is more of an informational Mecca than it is a social networking site.
We already have a system in place which allows Hubbers to email each other at the discretion of each Hubber. We have a forum. Hubpages staff are easily contacted via the forums in some cases and through email in ALL cases. There's really no need for anything more - and honestly though a chat box or something may be interesting, it would detract from the beauty of Hubpages.
Hubbers can email each other at present. But, it is through only External Email providers. .But,many times emails are not properly delivered by email systems and there is a great fuss to always check for emails every now and then. But, if there is a Inbox within hub pages,it can be easily known.
How can there be problem to beauty of hub pages, when messages are delivered to your account page, and you can view them easily through a small link, just like we see the "url trackers","affiliate setting".etc.
I have enough unread messages piling up in inboxes all over the sodding Internet already - the last thing I need is another place for them to accumulate.
Again, Hubpages isn't a social networking site in the conventional sense. The introduction of an "in house" email system would be redundant since we have the ability to email one another. If you are having technical issues receiving emails from other Hubbers, contacting the Hubpages staff directly would be a good answer.
Otherwise - imagine the nightmare and disaster of a message system on Hubpages. Every wannabe network marketer or dude with a product to sell will email every Hubber in sight. It would get fairly ridiculous pretty fast.
Umm, I guess I have mixed feelings on this. I see Jenny's and Charlotte's points and kind of share them. At the same time, I had plenty of cases were my mail sent through HP was not delivered to recipient. Also, often I can't tell from whom I receive email, because HP username is not included there...
The bottom line probably is - if those two issues are fixed, I don't see any need in HP mail. If not, I would like to see it.
We've been considering adding a private messaging system, primarily to solve the problem that several have mentioned -- inconsistent email delivery. The basic technical aspects are pretty easy to do, but it will just be one more area where we have to deal with spam, people wanting to block other people, complaints, etc.

Today I was alerted to a practice I have seen for the first time on Hub Pages. A Hubber, who shall for obvious reasons remain nameless, is shamelessly copying parts of another Hub Page Writer's hubs and posting them up as their own, and even resorting to copying the style of writing and...

I wish we could be informed of important changes/rules via an email. I check out the Forums each day, but a lot of Hubbers do not. I'm sure those folks miss a lot of important information.
