How do we let people know we've updated a HubPage. Where can we post the info or can we post the info?
You don't. That's why it's not a good idea to treat Hubs like blogs. Tweak them or improve them, by all means - but if you're aiming at other Hubbers, you need to think of your Hubs as complete the moment you publish them.
Twitter, Facebook, IRC. Create original forum threads about your original hub than weeks or days later after you've updated it bump your thread up, but not in a spammy way.
If you get fans they will be notified by email when your hub is updated, everyone else has to find out hte long way. With the number of hubs created every day, no one would thank you for spamming your new Hub everywhere.
The google spider finds any update to yer hub and thats more important than other hubbers finding out.
Dumb question, maybe, so bear with. I always wonder how mcuh tweaking it takes for the Google spider to take notice. Sometimes I literally just change a few keywords. I'm sure there are no hard and fast rules, just wondering...
Even those few words means a change that google picks up Laura, I do that all the time to hubs that fade away plus add better tags !
Thanks, Art. I tweaked the other day, but alas, NADA.
Laura jeez you women, it takes time ya know, ya gotta be patient and that took me 6 months to realise, tis only now that I have adsense worked out so patience dearheart lol
I missed you !
I learned from another hubber. Just click on FEED then there is a spot to put your current status. You can let other hubbers know you have updated from there. I've done it a couple of times.

I have been writing for over 4 years at hubpages and in that time period there have been many changes. What I need to do and I'm sure many of you also need to do, is update old hubs that were written when I did not have a very good idea about how things work online. So now I will sit and update 4...

I don't have a lot of hubs, but I'm finding myself updating them every few weeks with new content. Who else is updating their hubs and who isn't? If you don't, do you create a new hub and compile them into a single group?

I have been hub hopping lately and I am disgusted with the incoherent garbage that I am coming across - nothing but poorly translated articles of about 400 words, usually without even any formatting. I would say that more than half of the articles I randomly encounter are clearly nothing but spun...

I'm sure all of us have felt time-crunched while working on our websites, articles and HubPages. If you have a limited amount of time, what do you think will make your site more valuable in the eyes of Google (i.e. increase traffic): writing a brand new, high word count hub or spending the same...

Along with the Google effect lately I've seen a lot of forum posts about spam, and every time I hub hop it is obvious that there is a lot submitted here of both spam and simply substandard hubs.I would suggest that the following rules apply to the first 5 (or 10 or 20?) hubs by any new...

Happy Friday, Hubbers!Next week we will be raising the quality threshold for newly-published Hubs (meaning newly-Featured Hubs will, on the whole, be of higher quality) and will also be giving Featured Hubs (for those with high Hubber Scores) longer grace periods- up to a year for some.More...
