Hi all,
I've been reading about YieldBuild and I like the sound of it - what are other hubbers experiences of it? Can you deploy it on HubPages or is it only for other sites? Can it work if you just have Adsense or is is better to sign up for other contextual ad networks as well?
I already have other sites with about 50,000 Adsense impressions a month, but my Page CTR rate is a measly 0.18%. Maybe YieldBuild could help me out!?
You will find that Yieldbuild is also Hubpages.
If you go to http://yieldbuild.com/pages/team you will see some very familiar faces.
It is automatically implemented on hubpages.
I have had some good results with it on my own sites as well.

I'm using it as of now. My training bar shows 25% for 3 of my sites. I didn't get approval from Microsoft publisher program but i have chitika, adsense and some other publishers for me. So far the contextual ads are with dark backgrounds. If they didn't removed that dark background I'll get removed from support staff.
Yieldbuild positioning suggestion is very good and it is effective, also there needs to be some traffic for clicks but it's all random when it comes to CPC.
Thanks for the quick responses. It looks like I should give it a go on my other sites. They get good traffic but are mainly informational sites in the IT niche so I don't think the end users like clicking on ads.
I'll write a hub about my experiences!
Well I tried it but it made my pages hang so I had to remove it again. Very disappointing.
Aaargh,
It turned out my ASP code was a bit faulty - it seems ASP is a bit funny commenting out the existing Adsense code so I've removed the old stuff.
Now I'm not seeing any ads, I hope that's normal! At least the pages are loading now!
Give it a shot and see, it never hurts to trial things out, thats a low CTR though, and you may need to look at the value of your traffic, is it organic, paid for, or all from social bookmarking?
Yes my CTR is quite low. I signed up for Adsense in '03, so I was one of the very first. My sites have never been designed specifically for advertising - they're mostly for getting traffic to my product sales sites. I've only got side and top bar adverts so I guess I'm missing out on inline ads embedded in text.
However, the vast majority of my readership are programmer geeks and I think they stopped clicking on adsense ads in about 2005.
I think your right about your traffic, IT traffic is supposed to be to savvy and adblind to click on adsense very much
Horray, the YieldBuild ads are now showing. This looks promising! A lot of my website's stuff is junk, but it's been online since 1999 and google loves it all. I'm sure I could monetise it better.
One thing I couldn't figure out though is how to put my adsense channels into the yieldbuilder. That would have been a nice feature, as my site is in a dozen completely different niches (I have an ASP variable used to populate the channel ID that is different depending on the page's niche).

Well, that’s nice, very nice. I haven’t got a clue of what I did wrong. And after filling in the online appeal form they told me they had reviewed my account information, taken my feedback into account, but still had concluded that my AdSense account has posed a significant risk. And I have no idea...

The 2 adsense ads closest to the top of the page are showing. Also, hubpages appears...

What do you do to increase traffic to your hubs and potentially increase AdSense earnings?

Hopefully someone from Hubpages HQ can look into this.I believe that those of us that are using a hosted account with Adsense are not getting any ad revenue on impressions from the niche sites.I base this on the fact that my daily impressions on Hubpages vs Adsense differ by a factor of about 100....
