I know this may sound stupid. But, I just read in a few forums that you could actually make money doing hubs. I was wondering if someone might become my mentor and give me some tips on who to do this. I have written 3 hubs. I would really, really appreciate some construtive feedback and also, would love to learn about any opportunity there is to maybe make some extra money.

Thanks for your time in reading this post. I am listing my info for your review.

My hub pen name is ugagirl66
    My email is carwashgirl08@gmail.com

I am no expert by any means but:
    1. You might want to break up your long, long texts into smaller texts separated by new 'topic sentences'.
    2. Know your market. Know what you are trying to sell before you write a hub so you know what direction you are going.
    3. Obviously sign up for google adsense.
    4. Expand your profile, check out other hubs, participate in forums etc
    5. Have backlinks that link up to your hubs!

Ryankett has a great hub on this:
    http://hubpages.com/hub/Increase-Your-T … follow-PR6

    Hope that helps you somewhat!

    Ugagirl,

There is a lot of info all over the web about HubPages, how to use them and how to make a few bucks writing hubs. My honest advice to you is to read the plethora of how-to's and monetization ideas that are available right here on the sight.

The problem with many of the HubPages "advice sites" is that their "advice" just might have a little self-interest embedded!

Take some time and go through the sight page by page. Get your account up sequentially and properly. Read a LOT of hubs and see what and who you like and don't like. Educate yourself!

I hope to read some of your stuff soon!

    Sincerely,

    Famous Plumber

Peter Hogan has a whole SEO course that looks great from the few hubs in it that I have read.

In My Opinion these are some of the best Hubs I have found on getting started on HP. Anyone disagree? By using many of the links in the hubs by sunforged & ryankett I was able to quickly get into Google and Yahoo. While that is a lot to read, it is worth every minute of it. Thats a gold mine of information.
