          True.  First and foremost, anything over 500 cash has to have taxes paid on it first.  So I guess the first thing I do, is pay that tax.  What a pain in the ass that would be to be audited over chump change.

      pay down bills, so the normal money I receive can be saved for future use or put into a savings account to use later when I feel the need for recreation.

    Buy $1000 worth of seeds and grow your own food (and save the seeds for next year's planting.

    With that much you should be able to feed dozens of families, year after year, and it will multiply dozens of times each year.

    I would probably drink myself to death.  $1000 is a pretty hefty bar tab, no matter where you drink.
