100 Hub Challenge

   I'm somewhere between 'Can I do it?' and 'I'm gonna do it!'. Then throw in a bit of '...or die trying!'.
   
   Certainly not this month. Maybe not in a whole month. But I'll aim to publish them all by/on March 31.

      Bits-n-Pieces, what's your objective here on HubPages?
      
      I've had a quick look at your Hubs.  They're all short on content, more like blog posts than proper Hubs. If you're here to make money, you'd be better off learning how to rewrite your existing Hubs to optimise them, than writing more.

   i really can't see how my hubs can be seen as blog posts, rants or opinion, they're solid information, i don't see the need to pad it out or fluff it up.
   
   my objective is to have enough content to attract a visit via search engine and if they want or need more they'll have to do something with the left button on their mousey.

      It's the length.  The ones I looked at were very short.  Read some of Nelle Hoxie's forum posts - she's one of our most successful Hubbers, and she's discovering her best earning Hubs are over 800 words.  It's not enough to mention your keywords - they have to be mentioned several times for Google to rank your Hub.  And if you mention them several times in the course of a very short article, Google is going to regard that as keyword stuffing and ignore you.  By writing a long article, you give yourself plenty of time to include all your keywords several times without penalty.

   i fell short of the mark, i'm all outta steam.
   
   34 hubs. i failed!!!!!11111onetyone!
   
   but on a bright note, i got myself to an even 300 hubs.

      i failed miserably last month with only 34 hubs. but with a couple of days spare this month i managed to punch out ONE HUNDRED HUBS. i won't be able to do 100 hubs next month. it may take me a while to get to 500, but i already know what i"m publishing for my 500th hub.

         Woopedoo for you, I hope it makes you happy.   If I was writing blog posts masquerading as Hubs, I could probably "punch out" 100 in a couple of days too.

            did you even look at my hubs? i wouldn't expect you to look at 100 of them, but what aobut 1%? the very last one published perhaps?

               Yes I did - I picked a few at random, must have been bad luck that all of them were short.
               
               Whitney gives you good advice.  The trouble with writing a lot of Hubs fast is that you then have to spend twice as long improving them!

   There are plenty of really short hubs, but bits also has a few long and simple ones (that were hard to get through bc of a lack of design and choppiness).
   
   Some of the hubs are longer than I thought, but quite simple in layout and design. A lot more could be done with them to make them better. The topics are random, but whatever works for you. You either know a lot about a lot of things or was able to type in just enough to do your 100. They actually look like miniature wiki pages.
   
   
   A tip for if you plan on using hubpages to make money, try to make your titles more distinct and to the point versus just one word "felt", "hallmark", "dolls", "bedbugs", "drawing", etc. More advanced titles work to your advantage. If you're trying to get search engine traffic, a one word title isn't as big of a benefit as you'd think, as it doesn't tell anyone what the article is about.
   
   EX. 'Felt' well what about it? Where to buy it? How to use it? Crafts with felt? How is it made? What is it's history?
   
   
   Sorry, another tip, most of your sentences are quite short, making the article hard to read, making it less likely a person will stay there longer and more likely the person will just press the back button and go back to the search page. You had some longer sentences thrown in, but the paragraphs of short, choppy sentences were hard to get through. I couldn't finish the saw hub.
   
   EX. Saws are sharp. Saws have teeth. Sawteeth are bent. The bending of the teeth is called the set. The set determines the cut. There are many types of saws.
   
   
   Just trying to help you out. I don't mean to critique so much. Just want to help you if you're trying to earn money here and get good search engine traffic.
