Hi, I was wondering if we are able to use chitika in hubpages. Are we able to manually add in ad units into our hubs or we only have adsense. I'm not such a huge fan on kontera.
There is no Chitika functionality and as we dont have html/js access it isnt something you can add in either........, it would be a cool alternative to Kontera though, wouldnt it.
I for one would rather have a Chitika option here rather than Kontera. I use Chitika and Adbrite on a couple of my niche blogs and so far Chitika is out performing Adbrite and Adsense on those blogs.
I guess chitika will be in direct competition with ebay and Amazon ads.
Which would be good for those that don't use Amazon or Ebay
You guys are just making that up to make me feel stupid, aren't you? I have no idea what you're talking about.
LOL Chitika and Adbrite are pay per click advertising networks like Google's Adsense. They work along with Adsense so you can have both on a site at the same time. Most pro-bloggers use either or, along with paid advertising space.
I'm with you, bro! Often I feel I am hanging on the flying heels of the more knowledgeable participants. Thanks goodness for them though. I learn a lot just watching the lingo unfold.
Actually I don;t know why HP team does not offer Chitika, too. They have it on Yieldbuild, so it should be absolutely compatible...
Though YB and HP are related, i think chitika needs to give them approval for showing it on all approved chitika accounts @HP.
Chitika.............if only we could have it on HP. Why don't we ask HP staff?
Skyfire, what if some HP users already have Chitika? Those shouldnt need re-approving for HP right?
Yes i do have chitika and like me other publisher don't need to apply. But point is chitika is interested in US/CA/UK traffic only(with their premium contextual ad program), so that way they can't deal with HP as they have member-base from around the world (unless both of them work something out).

Once you've researched, drafted, edited, proofed... and before you've published your hub, you should think about a few things you could do to do it justice and add some extra appeal to it.1) Photo or Illustration? I like at LEAST one image. That way when it comes up in the hub search results it has...

I know there have been a lot of changes in the air in the past 10 or so days... There was another big Panda update... then the stinkin' Penguin and all. And, HP has been tinkering around with the design of pages. My traffic has remained relatively constant through it all. But, over...

I am talking about best and worst scenarios. I have been through many posts on the forum and other places. From what I understand, you can hope to make (in the best case) about $1 per month per hub. So is that true for many of you? For instance, if I go berserk and post 1000 hubs (don't even ask me...

I think it is vital that Hubpages soon develops a mobile app for both iOS and Android. The HP mobile web browser experience is good but not great. I feel HP could learn a lot from Facebook's mobile app which is how I envisage a future HP mobile app to operate.

Can I apply for adsense even though I only have 3 articles? I'm a newbie here and I'm just starting.

I took a shot at applying to Adsense with the less than 10 recommended hubs. I have four hubs, but they are rich in content. They did have a lot of images, but they were all 1,500 to 2,500 words. I removed some of the images, and will do some more hubs before I try again. Just wondering...
