The Firm. I loved the novel, but not the movie though. Movie is stupid , I think. At least some  changes they made. Actually I like most of his novels, but not the Chamber. I find it too depressing and boring.

A Painted House. For those of you who haven't read this, it's totally out of character for Grisham.

I believe it's the only novel he ever wrote that is not in the legal genre.

Nope, Playing for Pizza didn't have anything to do with being a lawyer, or anything in the legal genre. It was about a terrible NFL quarterback that went to play in Italy, playing for no money.
Also, who couldn't forget Bleachers? One of my favorites from him. Probably is my favorite.

Totally agree on that one. A Time to Kill and Bleachers are my two favorites. They are genius.

The Firm (the first book I ever read of his)
The client and then The Runaway Jury.  I've read all of his legal suspense and that's what I come to expect from him so anything of his that is not in that genre probably wouldn't appeal to me.

Hey, I have a suggestion. I'm currently reading one of his earlier books, The Pelican Brief. Anyone like that one? I'm only on page 100 so far. Is it worth reading the rest?

Seems like the majority is going for The Firm. I may need to read that. Believe it or not, I haven't read it yet.
