    on't waste your time!
How many times have we heard that comment? Think about it. We try so hard not to waste our time that we never take the time out to truly see what we are wasting.
All day I sat around and tried to figure out how I am going to get the funds to get my son a motorized wheelchair. After which I spent a few hours deciding who I was going to get to repair the ceiling which had sprung a leak because of the branch over my house that fell and created the problem in the first place. I took a couple of minutes to clear the driveway and walkway of snow that accumulated last night. I think I had a very busy day. I didn't waste any time. All my time was accounted for today I should feel good about myself. i couldn't be further from the truth.
When we think about time we tend to measure it in hours or days. We never think of the moments that we miss. The moments are far more important than the day itself. Without the moments the days have no meaning. I spent most of my day in thought and action and felt content when I should had taken advantage of the moments that I can never get back.
My wife is a cancer survivor (colon). She is just starting to get back on her feet. She is able to get out now and visit friends that she was not able to before. She has to take "Chemo" every other week, and when she finishes her transfusion she is weak. It takes time for her to recover. She has taken six treatments and has six to go. I guess that I have gotten so use to it that I didn't take advantage of the moment when she came home today and tried to express the joy of running into an old business partner of hers. I missed the moment today when my aunt called today to tell us that she had finally sold her house, and now she would be able to make the move to Arizona  which would help her in her in respiratory therapy. We get caught up in the day.
I know we have all on occasion said to a friend or family member “Do you remember when”. What we are doing is recalling the moment. Sure our time is precious, and we want to make the best of it, but within that time is going to be a moment that we will look back on that will connect us with others. Whether it is good or bad it will be a moment etched in your memory forever.
It's true don't waste your time, but while not wasting it always remember to catch the moment. That is what we truly mean when we make the statement of not wasting our time.

These are the forums. That would have made a good hub! I recommend removing this and making it one.

      Welcome to HubPages! smile

Excellent writing ... and hope your kid's got the runabout and your wife' through with the Chemo Ordeal, and declared fit ... and that the tree branch has since been removed from the roof and the leak in the roof has been repaired, etc..

Meaning, you were able to catch the Moments ... about making the needed Money.

Anyway, just a passing suggestion ...  Make sure, your Titles say clearly, what the rest of the writing beneath ... is all about.
Your present writeup's Title ... "Don't waste your time" ... sounds, and seems more like a Reprimand, than a fair Sharing, of your Experiences.

Reckon, it would have been more in the spirit of bonhomie, if it had read ..

"I, dont waste my time ...I catch Inspiration" ... etc..

I agree to, you should rewrite your experience as an inspirational hub. Time is definitely precious and not something to waste. smile At the risk of sounding like Oprah it looks like you had an "a-ha" moment.

It's really hard not to waste your time when you have so much problems that you cannot deal with all of them at once, but again time management is not easy, you have to learn actually to do that. i see you have some ill people around you, sorry about that. Good luck.

Time is the only thing we have to do all things. If we will waste time then definitely we will not get time to have our works to carry out.Because time passes with moments and it can't be stopped.
