   I posted a comment to a hub I felt was sub par and was a bit critical of it. The person talks about all of these tools, but doesn't link to a single one.
   
   So I said in a comment: "Where are all of these tools at? Why not link to them? I'm sorry but if I must seek them all out then this hub isn't very useful to me."
   
   Especially considering many of the names given were generic and probably would bring up many hits for each phrase making it impossible to find some of them, or at least the one he was supposedly talking about.
   
   But of course he figured out how to link to his own web site, just like in all of his other hubs I looked at. I see why his score was in the 60's.

      Ditto.  I look at comments as a sort of conversation.  You said what you had to say and I'm responding.  Disapprove if you want, I still had my say and you obviously read it or you wouldn't have denied it.  TADA!  See, I win!

   MyWebs, you should say what you want to say in your comments.  Regarding links, Hubpages doesn't like it if there are too many links that lead the reader out of Hubpages so you are limited to at most two links per hub, I think. When you see other hubs, there won't be a lot of links to other non-Hubpage sites either so this is the norm.

      I believe you can post lots of links in your hub to outside sites, the limit is that you can only post a maximum of 2 to the same domain, so in theory if you wanted you could link to 50 external sites twice each in one hub without incurring a penalty, (although I wouldn't advise you do). That is as I understand it anyway.

   Some people go one step ahead and start swearing in the forums.
   
   I once pointed out some silly spelling mistakes in a hub in a really polite manner by commenting on it. The lady who had published that hub who is quite famous here started picking fights with me here generally without mentioning that hub and swearing and all.
   
   I would recommend not to give a sh!t about such jerks.
   
   I personally believe there is nothing wrong in correcting or suggesting something to someone and Dohn has corrected quite a few mistakes I made in my hubs.
   
   On another note, I recently came across a hub written by another woman who is about to complete her 1000 hubs here and it was full of misinformation about Google and HubPages, I just flagged it.

   It didn't bother me really he didn't approve my comment. I sort of expected as much. I do think I made valid points in my comments.
   
   I was wrong though when I said here that he links to his own web site in every hub. He doesn't.
   
   I'm always open to constructive criticism. Feel free to correct spelling, grammar or factual mistakes I may make. I want for my hubs to be the best I can make them so I win at this.

   I would ignore that, as far as I'm concerned I think you are one of the most considerate hubbers in the hub pages community. You have really inspired me to do better. I really like your comments and sometimes, we just don't get the response we hope for. Keep commenting, I appreciate it, and so do other hubbers, it means you really thought about what was written in the articles and that means a lot to many of us.

   If I'm going to offer constructive criticism, especially when it's not asked for, then I'm going to do it one-on-one.  At HP, that means a private contact email, if the Hubber has enabled that HP feature.
   
   At the same time, if I were to receive constructive criticism in a comment to a Hub, I might not "accept" it, or I might. If I don't click "accept", then I will email the Hubber with my thoughts, again, if that feature is enabled by that Hubber.
   
   I'm just posing some reasons why the Hubber may not have accepted your comment.  As others here have said, don't take it personally, continue to speak your mind, because in so doing you add richness to anyone's Hubbing experience.

    It's always a good idea to phrase your constructive criticism carefully.  Some people may just be in a bad mood when they read your comment.  Don't take it personally.
    
    If you disagree with the hubber's point of view, at least be civil, and not rude or confrontational.  Be as polite and understanding as you can.  Perhaps offer praise for certain aspects of the hub.  Assure the hubber that you understand where they're coming from.
    
    If you are correcting some factual error, be prepared to back it up with real facts or a reliable link to the info.
