    Ok so  most of you know I recently left the nest and moved 1800 plus miles away from home. This was hard for everyone involved but mostly my mom, grandparents, and myself.

    I just got done talking to my mama and she tole me that in 2 months:

    GEORGIA IS COMING TO ARIZONA!!!

    So yeah im sharing my happiness with all of hubberville! It's been a great day!!!

      My hubby made the move from England to Texas in 2007.  You're going to be in for an adventure.  The weather will be a biggie, as will the insects.

      What city in Texas? I am a native Texan who visited London before.

      Wow you will probably have to drive and get use to the steering wheel on the left hand side of the car. Texas has a lot of bad drivers.

      The summers get really hot but the weather is nice for the most part; except when the hot summer lasts a little longer and ice hits the roads on occasions in the winter. However, you can use ice on the roads as an excuse to call in to work.

      You will also get use to lot of big things in Texas like homes, freeways, trucks including 18 wheelers, and some of our citizens.

      Texas has a lot of food everywhere and you will probably like our barbeque, TexMex, and steak. 

      Also you will notice the Texan accents when native Texans talk... stating terms like "Howdy" for "Hello" What are "yall" doing? Yall stands for you all, and maybe I'm "fixin" to go to the store. "fixin" means going.

        *grins and waves legs back* I'm having an "issue" with one of my freelance clients (see my forum thread in the Hubber's Hangout)...but otherwise things are actually going pretty well. The snow is finally melting here, and I am SO glad an end to winter is in sight. smile

        I don't even have to ask how you are! I'm so glad to see someone else uses the expression "Happy as a pig in 'crap'" heh.

    Hehe... she has created a huge adventure for her grandmother and myself as my dad has left this entirely up to us womens. He will be knee deep in farming at that point and can't make the trip. This is a big first in a lot of ways.

    First time I have ever flown, first time my mom has spent any time away from my father in over 50 yrs, first time I've been past the Mississippi, and first time grandma has traveled pretty much on her own.

    It's also the first time she and I will be together for an extended period of time relying on each other. First time I've rented a car, first time she has driven in another city, mmm let me rethink that one I think I will drive, and first time I get to see my lovely daughters new home.

    Am I excited? Darn tooting I am! Am I terrified? Darn tooting I am. But its gonna be oh so much fun that it calls for a Gidgitty or whatever Denno says, lol

    Trust me the camera will be on the ready the entire trip. Oh I forgot one, we are gonna try and go see the Grand Canyon that will be another first for me, mom has already seen it but she will be thrilled with my excitement of it.

    Oh gonna have casino day too. Three generations all playing the slots not a first for any of us but the first time all of us will do it at the same time.

    Good gobbledy gook, I'm gonna have to take sleeping potion to calm down enough to sleep tonight.

        In this case time doesn't help! It only gets worse and at times the beginning freedom of flying out quickly fades when you realize you are on your own.....It is hard to be seperated from those you love. I have family all over the world and no one is ever at the same place at the same time but I am happy for you!!!!!!!!

          It's good., that's for sure..and I have seen some happy pigs in the mud so It's an excellent simile! The happy as a clam thing I soooo do not get. Maybe clams are happy as they hold the pearls of the world but I have yet to see a clam smile! And cute as a button? Seriously i'm stumped! lol

        that's cool. i'm glad to hear your doing well then, and sorry if i kept you up too late last night.  lol. 

        just great thanks.  i just turned 30 yesterday, and now I feel great.  although people warned me about going through a mid life crisis at that age, so far I managed to remain perfectly calm about it.  i guess it's because i've learned to take beth's advice, and enjoy the little things in life.  i think if it wasn't for her, i would be going through a mid life crisis right now.  lol.  however, i'm glad that's not the case.
