Mine's is 'Live and Let Die' despite the fact that I think Sean Connery was the best ever Bond

Live and Let Die is a very good choice. My all time favorite remains You only Live Twice because of the ninja action. I also like Diamonds Are Forever because of the humor.

I still think Connery is the best Bond,  but Daniel Craig for me is a mighty close second, and I think "Casino Royale" is the Bond film that comes closer than any of the others to the original Bond novels as Ian Fleming wrote them. It's also the one where the Bond character is closest to Fleming's original vision, so for those reasons I'd vote for that one.

Are you referring to the recent "Casino Royale" or the tele-movie made in the 1950s or the off the wall comedy also titled "Casino Royale" in which you had more James Bonds running around than you could shake a stick at? Not keen on the latest bloke to play Bond. He is just a cold blooded killer and that's it.

Goldfinger...Who could resist Pussy Galore tongue

    1. Rod Marsden profile image67
Rod Marsdenposted 14 years agoin reply to this

The actress who played Pussy Galore was in The Avengers before she was Pussy Galore. She wasn't as popular as the woman who later played Emma Peel in The Avengers  but she was still a bottler.

That would be Diana Rigg !

Rod Marsdenposted 14 years agoin reply to this

You bet. Diana Rigg was Emma Peel. She was also Bond's love interest in On Her Majesty's Service which was not a very popular Bond movie.

Thunderball. Always has been, always will be. I thought I used to like 'Diamonds are Forever' then I watched it again last week, and was quite disappointed; Maturity has a down-side...

Great choice... When I was younger, the painted lady scene always struck a  creepy chord with me.

Plus, Oddjob is one of the greatest characters of all-time, not just in the Bond films either.

I can't knock Diamonds are Forever. Back then the Brits had to stop the Russians and the Yanks from going to war. It was as if "mother" Britain had to play peacemaker between the two naughty boy nations and, at the same time, send her favorite son to find out who was really causing the trouble. It was all cold war fun. Nowadays Bond isn't out to save the world. He just seems to kill people and that is about it.

yes, present james' movies didn't related to any political issue so i guess they making action-packed-only james bond movies.
not much original and "surprising" compared to the old james.

Goldfinger...I haven't seen a TON of Bond films but the ones I've seen with Roger Moore are boring, Sean Connery seems by far the best Bond

Goldfinger was my favorite Bond flick of them all.

Live and Let Die was my favorite Roger Moore Bond offering.

Die Another Day was my favorite Pierce Brosnan movie.

The newest guy hasn't done enough of 'em to pick a favorite, but I liked his stuff so far.

Not that anyone asked, but my favorite song was from "For Your Eyes Only."
