This is such a simple and easy task to do, but for some reason my picture won't come in clear.  It looks like something that has been downloaded millions of times and is digitally wacked out.  I have never had this kind of problem before.  Is there something I'm missing or am I just doomed to have a horrible photo on this site?

If anyone can help me, it will be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks guys....

I'm not even remotely a computer expert, but I hate to see your forum post hanging up here for 45 minutes unanswered, so, I'll toss out a couple of things that might help.

    1.  Have you tried the "resize" option on the photo menu.  Sometimes with mine they appear much larger at "full size" in a hub than they do on my computer for whatever reason and they get all grainy.  Try half size and see if that doesn't help.

    2. Copy the picture from your file into a program like even just microsoft Paint (I use Paint all the time) and you can mess with the file format, save as a .jpeg if the one you are using is maybe in some other file type right now that is not doing well on your hubpage.

    3.  You can resize the image in Paint too, which may or may not help, but I use that to make stuff fit on the Hot Hubs/Best/New mini icons, so it does have some impact on how they look.

    Anyway, hope this helps.

What you need to do is start out with a larger original image. We resize whatever you upload and crop to the various sizes we require (100x100, 200x200, etc.).  When you start with a 100x100 image as you have, it's not going to look very good when we resize it.  On the other hand if you start with a say, 800x800 image it will look great at any size smaller than that.

I was going to suggest that one too, obviously, but I knew that Paul would want to say it so I saved it for him.
