I have 15 hubs published since I started 2 weeks ago, but none of my subjects show up on Google. I've put in every tag I think could be appropriate. For example, my main interest is motorcycling. Other hubbers works show up, but no mine. any suggestions?
I would highly recommend that you go to the Extreme Hub Makeover Forum Thread and open up a thread for advice.
There can be problems with your Hubs that you might not know about. You can post links in the Extreme Hub Makeover Forum, because it is allowed.
I would suggest you post at least 3 links to different hubs and get them criticized/critiqued by other hubbers. This will help you.
Here is the link: http://hubpages.com/forum/23
I've been told it takes 50 hubs and 6 months to get meaningful traffic and income. I think it is true.
I reviewed some of your hubs. You provide a lot of information. Your hubs should be broken up into more text capsules with a mix of Amazon and linking capsules. News would also work well. These changes will make your hub read faster and give it a better feel.
Good luck.
Can you copy and paste the here URL of the Google results page where the other hubbers have turned up?
Take a look at the Knowledge Exchange forum. You'll find tons of helpful threads for how to increase traffic to your hubs.
I can't answer your question specifically; I only know that as my traffic increases, so does my Google rank.
I also learned that Google doesn't pay attention to those tags we load (key words on the right side of the screen), but other search engines do. So, they are still important.
Since you write about cycles, find some of the better websites dealing specifically with riding / bikes, and ask if they'll link to your hub(s). Only send them the link to what you believe is/are your best articles. This will increase your traffic (I've had some recent success with this method).
Hopefully, someone more knowledgeable with SEO will come and post...
You need to work on your SEO, you cannot expect to create a hub on a competitive keyword and have it beat other websites which have thousands of articles on the subject without putting in some major effort!
Promotion from the other Hubbers is ahead of yourself should also be a consideration. Age. You're being too hard on yourself since you have been here only 3 weeks give it time, take a look at the other Hubs to give you ideas how best to improve your own too. Welcome to HubPages.

Article for discussion. I know that this recent development has already been mentioned by some hubbers in forums. But I am now wondering if this might be the main reason why we are seeing the current traffic plunges for many hubbers? See link...

Jennifer - first of all ... don't ask for readership. Let it come. And it will come if you do the following:1. Read others work and comment/ rate it2. Take part in the forum, even if it's just asking for help or offering help to others3. Publish hubs of interest to your fellow hubbers4. Rate up...

I know that you can choose to display your idle hubs on your profile page, but I don't, because I don't want Google to see them at all and get confused by all those "do not follow." What this means is that my idle hubs are not available for anyone to see, and I have to actively...
