Love ... well love is confusing yet not to be confused with obsession ,how is it two completely different people or in this case genders can come to such an agreement... With my personal experiences i dont think all men even have the slightest idea in what love is... or even how to show love for their so called loved one...

well if you ask 10 different males and 10 different females about how they define love , you might end up getting different definition..talking about possibility...ofcourse it is possible...why not?...

As a man I think I have worked it out. I have been married twice and have 5 daughters from 17 to 3 and to me love is unconditional affection and care no matter whether things are going your way or not. I get everything I need as long as my women are getting what they need.

      Yes.

My girlfriend and I agree that love is something you work at.

      It is not "unconditional".

It is not the same thing as sex.

Its all the "small things" added together.

I don't know. The Bible says God is love, and that God is neither male or female (or is both, according to interpretation.) I'm not a biblical scholar- that's just the first thing that popped into my head.

Since you have only been here a few minutes you might be thinking of writing a hub on your thoughts. Welcome to HubPages.

It is very possible for both male and female to agree on what love is. In order to know what love is, we have to go back to where love originates. God is love, and He created us out of love, so love is already in our essence. The bible says that love is
    Longsuffering
    Kind
    Does not envy
    Is not selfish
    Is not rude
    Thinks no evil
    Is not easily provoked
    Rejoices in truth
    Bears all things
    Endures all things
    Hopes all things
    Never fails
It keeps no record of wrongs
If both the male and female love God and serve God, then both can agree on love because God tells us what it is and it dwells in us. Treat your husband with respect. Love your wife as yourself.

Hi .mely, Love is a wonderful topic! My experience is what you give you receive. It really does not matter if a person is male or female, what matters is if you are being yourself.  Why?  Because Love is our nature!  We are loving beings, with loads of compassion, and Love to share with whom ever we choose!!  I send Love to you my dear ;-)
