    Hello,

I have two hubs and the total views for both combined is 672.  You would think I would have earned a penny or five cents right?  But I have not.  Am I doing something wrong?

I do most of my article stuff on another site which does much better but it seems curious to me in the few years I've been on hubpages that my two hubs have not earned even one penny.  I do have an adsense account via google which I believe is properly linked to Hubpages.

    Please advise.

    Thank you!

672 views is nothing. I wouldn't expect to have made anything from such a small number of pageviews.  I can't recall exactly but I know the average earnings rate at HubPages is expressed in cents per thousand.

Your Hubs are very short, possibly too short to have a decent number of keywords, and that's why they're not getting search engine traffic.  No search engine traffic = no income.

They're also not well set out for Adsense.  I wrote a HubPages Tips Hub which might help you improve them.

You aren't doing anything wrong, but you aren't doing enough right.

You need more Hubs and more traffic.  When you look at your total views from two Hubs over 17 months, you're only getting about one page view per day.  That's not going to earn anything.

Sadly, many people don't click on adsense ads as they become more and more desensitized to advertising. And if you're not lucky enough to have impression based adsense (which you can't pick), then it all depends on whether people click.

For the Daschund hub, I can't figure out why no one would click. But for the Canada one, only one of the adsense blocks were actually related to the hub (and it was the sidebar one - I didn't even see it at first). The other 2 blocks were related to daschunds, which implies that it was using my browsing history instead. I'm not sure why that happened, but if it's using browser history instead of the actual page to determine ads, that could be a big factor for your lack of earnings.

Why don't you try putting some amazon stuff on there though? 600 visits across 2 hubs isn't that bad, you should be able to sell some stuff.

Adsense is a beast, really if you're here for the earnings you'll be better of getting a job.

My overall earnings with adsense are somewhere between 2000-3000$ a month, and they mainly come from a few movie streaming websites (CPM of $2).. that means I make $2 every 1000 pageviews whih isn't bad for the movie industry.

Expect to earn around $1 / 1000 page views.

Thats great earnings! I guess the bucks lie in the movie streaming sites then huh? smile

How much are you earning at hubpages?
