I have always got this pain in my legs ever since I can remember. It's a kind of deep ache that goes from my lower back down into my leg (only ever one leg at a time but can be either) it usually shifts from one leg to the other and I occasionally get it in my arms but not very often. The pain really feels intense at my hip and my knee and feels like its radiating out from those points. Another point is that I usually get it at night and it sometimes gets so bad that it wakes me up in the middle of the night.

I have never known anyone else to get this. Just thought I would see if anyone here has experienced this or knows what it is.

    Thanks!

If you'd like to actually know what's wrong with you, I suggest you go see a doctor.  Anything anyone here might say is just going to be a random guess.

yeah I know, and that is the advice I would normally give but I have asked various doctors (I used to work at a hospital and various other medical places) but none of them could give me any proper answer. So I thought I might see if anyone here had a clue.

Sounds like a pinched nerve I have dealt with the pain you are going through. I went to a chiropractor and had Physical Therapy three times a week. They used hot packs and cold packs, after a few visits I began to feel much better and once I completed both the Chiropractor and PT. I felt great! Seek attention just like Relache said it will only get worse. smile

Yeah I thought about this but I have been getting this pain on and off for years, could a pinched nerve go on like that for that long?

Most definitely unfortuantely your body became accustomed to the pain but as you have gotten older it gets worse. I can bet it is a serious pinched nerve and once you get relief you will be so happy. smile

Well, I will look into this more. I recently registered with a new doctor so I will bring it up when I eventually go and see him.

          Thanks!

I only get pain kind of like that when I'm on or close to the rag...I cramp up in the legs more than the stomach.
But yea I agree with AEvans does kind of sound like a pinched nerve...better get it checked out so it doesn't get any worse. GOOD LUCK!!!

yeah, it is actually very similar to that pain...I also get it in my legs rather than stomach as well, I always thought that was a bit strange.

yay I'm not alone in that part lol but I do hope that you find out what is going on and get it fixed. It's not fun going through life in pain!

Could be sciatica (the main nerve running through your back right down to your toes).   Again (yeah, I'll repeat what's been said):  go see a doctor and keep pressing for specialists until you obtain an answer or possible causes.  From there, you will find a solution to help yourself.
