    Retirement Plan…
If you had purchased $1000.00 of Nortel
stock one year ago, it would now be worth $49.00.

With Enron, you would have $16.50 left of the original
      $1000.

With WorldCom, you would have less than $5.00 left.

If you had purchased $1000.00 of Delta Air Lines
stock you would  have $49.00 left.

If you had purchased United Airlines, you would
         have nothing left.

But, if you had purchased $1000.00 worth of beer one
year ago, drank all the beer,
then turned in the cans for recycling, you would have
      $214.00.

Based on the above, the best current investment advice
is to drink heavily and recycle.

This is called the 401-Keg Plan

This is possibly the best e-mail advice I've received over the past few days...

Just a quick note, Zsuzsy, Jackalope Enterprises LLC is booming. Had you had the forethought to buy $1000 worth of shares, you would be a millionaire, today. We seem to thrive on carnage. Go figure.

B.T. Unfortunately no, I always miss the good ones and invest in the wrong stuff... I've got to check to see if I can scrape up enough from the bottom of the barrel. zs

It's never to late to start saving and investing.  Perhaps you just start contributing to your 401-Keg plan really, really agressively for a time to catch it up to where it should be.  In fact, being the giving kind of person that I am; I will match your efforts on a 1 to 1 basis - at least on the consumption side.

Shadesbreath! I'm so proud of you... such a selfless act on your part is just totally beyond the call of duty... It does the heart really good to see such deep down goodness. Taking you as a ro;e model I think I will go grab a Heineke right now. Cheers

I see where your going with that Bob. The stock market, more then ever, is like gambling. That is probably why I think the 401-Keg plan seems just so-so-so right. zs

Mark! How are you? I often need to be plowed in between the eyes to see the light. So from now on it will be the 401-Keg solution for me.zs

Lol, brilliant! I bought £1000 worth of shares in HBOSS 3 years ago, at one point could have got over £4000 for them, but now there only worth £231, oh well, they'll go back up in a few years, so point in selling them!
