Did Obama offer a job to Sestak in order for him to drop out of the election against republican turned democrat Specter?

There's no question there was an understanding of such an offer, but a conviction would require knowing how that offer was worded and the only way to find out is for an investigation. Why is the White House afraid of the truth? Why isn't the left pushing for answers? If Bush had done this he would have been relentlessly pursued!

" If Bush had done this he would have been relentlessly pursued!"

Bush opened  secret CIA gulags in Europe, grabbed Arabs off the street in worldwide locations, tortured them into 'confessions' - lied every step of the way, evan as the truth emerged - and got away with it clean.

And you are screaming 'special prosecutor' over wild unfounded speculation... Puhleeeeese!!!!!

Excellent topic, how interesting to see the responses thus far.  Wild unfounded speculation.....no doubt how that empty response will be rampant, if anyone even dares to respond, as Sestak himself has been quite clear about what occurred.

The semantics of the wording of the offer are a moot point in the public/voting prosecution of such an offer.  While we need health care reform without a doubt, this same type of gaming and gambling with Congress is what passed the current health care bill, and that's enough to know that the bill is not in the best interest of the USA.

This just in:  Bush was a bad guy.

Why do so many Obama supporters use the "but George Bush...".

It doesn't matter.  Bush is gone.  gone gone.

Bush was bad... Obama is worse.

Why did Obama visit Pakistan when it was off limits in 1981.  Answer:  Because he could.

And what country did his passport say?  Not the United States.

Both Bush and Obama used/use deception and lies.

When Obama took office there were 34,000 US Troops in Afghanistan.  With the next Obama led push there will be 100,000.  Fighting whom?  In the name of "terrorism".  $4 Billion a month and they can't even stop a guy from getting on an airplane in Africa and almost blowing it up on US soil. 20 Million Illegals in the country.  Ooops.  How did they get in?  It's not like we are really protecting our Borders.

$48 Billion a year just for Afghanistan.  Nearing $800 Billion a year total... and we can't keep 20 million illegals out?

You really have to take a hard look at Democrats and Republicans alike and say... "What the He&^".

Now everybody here should know I am for Health Care Reform and very much against this latest Democratic Slam.

But look at this from another way... in the next decade we will spend close to $8 Trillion on the Military.  Kind of seems like our priorities are out of whack.  Got to spend every last dime fighting the bad guys hiding in caves and can't even protect the borders or fund a real health care bill that doesn't demonize unjustly the Health Insurers.

Mike, I wonder where all the war protesters are now?? I don't mean on HP - I mean across the nation. I guess war under the evil Bush was bad, but war under St. Obama is good. It must be, since he got the Nobel Peace Prize!

Offering Sestak a deal is how things are done in Chicago. Common knowledge. And it wasn't Obama who made the overture to Sestak. It was an unnamed minion. It will never be traced to Obama. Now what will the "traitor Dems" -- the ones who switched their votes in favor of Obamacare -- receive for their party loyalty? Time will tell. But already $billions$ in earmarks are flowing their way. How dirty can Washington get now that Chicago has taken over?
