EHow - Good source of backlinks?

   If you have a hub and have a small how to section or could turn it into one, would it be a good idea to create a how to article at EHow for backlink purposes?
   
   I'm looking for feedback from some people who use ehow.

      I was on EHOW for several months and I don't recommend them. They will burn you every time.
      If you don't get paid and you question them about it, they will delete you and all your articles and won't pay you.

   From what I understand, eHow is a good earning opportunity in its own right (provided you're an American resident).

   eHow resource links are "no follow". I haven't seen a huge increase of traffic yet from ehow, but I have made .32 cents in just 3 days of joining (spent an hour maybe writing a few easy articles).

   I get a decent amount of traffic from eHow.  I am not a huge fan of eHow right now though.  Almost every other time I work on an article with them, the article gets "bugged" and is "unavailable" for some period of time.  My last one was unavailable for more than a week.
   
   eHow is great for backlinks and I made a little bit of money from it, but nothing to write home about (yet).
   
   I will use them a lot more if they could fix their submission issues.

   ehow article links are nofollow ( they are NOT backlinks)

   Didn't realize they were nofollow. When I looked the first time it seemed they were dofollow, but you're right they are not. I guess I'll look into Ehow some other time then.

   Can you insert links in the body of the text at Ehow? Or are they allowed only in the resources section.

      You can insert them only in your profile.
      If you put links in your article to make money from any other place they will delete your article.

            Hi Earnest....You're right. Several people including myself..(during a so called "Glitch" another one that caused no one to get paid) asked why not..just to be told we had violated a term of use and would no longer be allowed to write for them and would not be paid at all...
            
            They also began to delete articles that were based on any non-christian view and stated they had to delete them because they weren't based on fact. On the forum I stated that no religion is fact as far as being able to prove them..after that 5 of my articles were deleted.
            
            If you look under their religion directory there are over 3,000 Christian articles which is more then all the other religions combined.
            
            They also rearranged their search so that if you are looking for anything on religion/beliefs all the Christian articles pop up first and you have to go page after page to find non-christian articles.

   I think they are only in the resource box.  I am not sure about the no-follow thing.  I do know that I get quite a few hits on my hubs that came from EHow, so do-follow or no-follow, it can generate traffic.

       I wrote 45 money making articles for them..15 were deleted..then when they owed me $500.00 they said I violated a term of use (they didn't say what) and deleted all my articles..and didn't pay me.
       
       If they did 10 people this way..they get to keep their share of the money plus yours..10 people is $5000.00 they keep.
