    Hey Lovely Hubber's

Hope you are all well! I'm currently watching Aladdin with my daughter (lol) and having a heated discussion with my friend on which is the best Disney film ever made! (we don't lead very exciting lives haha). Soooooo, which Disney film do you think is the best ever!?

Tarzan. When the ape who has no baby takes in Tarzan in spite of receiving flack from her "lord and master" The song... My son would sing that song in the back seat of the car. (in his little car seat) To this day it makes me cry to hear it. He's fifteen and still can sing the song word for word, note for note.

"Pocahantas," most definitely. The song "Colours of the Wind" has so much to teach us, even if it is just a Disney movie smile

You think I'm just an ignorant savage
And you've been so many places; I guess it must be so
But still I cannot see, if the savage one is me
How can there be so much that you don't know?
      You don't know...

You think you own whatever land you land on
The earth is just a dead thing you can claim
But I know every rock and tree and creature
Has a life, has a spirit, has a name.

You think the only people who are people
Are the people who look and think like you
But if you walk the footsteps of a stranger
You'll learn things you never knew you never knew

Have you ever heard the wolf cry to the blue corn moon
Or asked the grinning bobcat why he grinned
Can you sing with all the voices of the mountain
Can you paint with all the colors of the wind?
Can you paint with all the colors of the wind?

Come run the hidden pine trails of the forest
Come taste the sun-sweet berries of the earth
Come roll in all the riches all around you
And for once never wonder what they're worth

The rainstorm and the river are my brothers
The heron and the otter are my friends
And we are all connected to each other
In a circle in a hoop that never ends

Have you ever heard the wolf cry to the blue corn moon
Or let the eagle tell you where he's been
Can you sing with all the voices of the mountain
Can you paint with all the colors of the wind?
Can you paint with all the colors of the wind?

How high will a sycamore grow?
If you cut it down then you'll never know
And you'll never hear the wolf cry to the blue corn moon
For whether we are white or copper skinned
We need to sing with all the voices of the mountain
We need to paint with all the colors of the wind

You can own the earth and still
All you'll own is earth until
You can paint with all the colors of the wind

I thought about this question forever, then it occured to me that I was forgetting about "The Rescuers".  I had to, immediately, procure a copy and watch it with my daughter.  Penny breaks my heart.

My personal favorite will probably always be Aladdin as it was the first I watched and caused me to choose the career path I now aspire to. However I think Tarzan has some of the best lyrics in a Disney movie, but Prince of Egypt (yes I know it's Dreamworks Animation) has some of the best music, melodic and rhythmically. Of all the Pixar movies I think my favorite is probably Wall-E or The Incredibles.

Yes! I had forgotten that song Pani! I think because my little man (taller than me now) still sings the other one.

Yes that is so much more than just a Disney song, it is a sermon all mankind should hear every day.

I rediscovered the movie about a year ago. Since then, "Colours of the Wind" is a song I play whenever I feel frustrated or angry. It calms me and reminds me how beautiful life really is, reminds me how much everything and everyone matters.

Ok, I have been thinking and thinking and thinking and the best I can come up with is this.

Picking a 'Best' Disney movie is like picking a best meal at a restaurant. It depends on your mood and what the evening has in store. They are all so good, at any given time almost any of them are the best.  hmm

So I'll go with Aladdin; Lion King is second.

While Beauty & the Beast is still my favorite here are some I love as well:
    Hocus Pocus
    Heavyweights
    Up (Pixar, owned by Disney)
    The Little Mermaid
    Bambi
The Nightmare before Christmas (Touchstone, still Disney)

Ok, I'm back.  I'm a bit of a Disney movie geek, so its SO hard to choose.

Of the more recent releases, I love UP.  I haven't seen Princess and the Frog yet, but I'm so excited to see them go back to more of the individualized drawings, and less of the CGI backgrounds.

I love, LOVE Toy Story! My kiddos love it, and its one that I can always enjoy as well.

But, a lot of my favorites come more from the oldies.

    Live Action:
The original Parent Trap w/ Haley Mills
The Watcher in the Woods (creepiest Disney movie ever)

    Animated:
Love the music from Tarzan and the Jungle Book
Snow White will really always have a special place in my heart - and such a good mix w/ some of the darkness of the real fairy tales in it instead of everything being happy/warm/fuzzy

I think I agree w/ Mike! smile Different Day, Different Favorite.

I recently joined the Disney movie club.  Just last evening my daughter (early twenties) and I were discussing which ones we should get.   smile

I love Enchanted.  (My ex-husband gave it to me for Christmas last year.)  I have to say Cinderella is the best, though.  I don't know... It's just a classic (and yet modern enough to be "better" than Snow White or others made before Cinderella.  I like the "old" Cinderella, though.  I don't like the new "Bimbo-looking" one, who isn't as pretty.   lol
