    Hi there folks,

I am doing a hub series on men and womens behaviors in romantic relationships and their roles and behaviors from from when attraction occurs till when actually in the relationship. I did the first called 'where have all the Princesses gone, and where are all the Knights?'. It was introductory and addressed both sexes behaviors in the romantic context- It's also told in a quirky, sweet tongue- in- cheek way.

I need assistace from you hubbers, man and woman, for a future Hub. How does a lovely lady know when a dashing Gentleman likes her? wink Make it as specific and general as you like and from any angle. I NEED YOUR INSPIRATION!!! smile

Guys have different means of telling and expressing their feelings. However, I can say that if a man is sincere to his feelings, he will let you experience the love that you've never felt before in his own way.

It is hard especially when 2 people are shy.  If either a woman or man asks the other, they will tell.

We arent used to asking.  Most people will play games.  If a person were to ask:

I like you.  Do you like me?

They will get a direct response.  No will never be a no but it will be answered in a I like you but...............  A yes will be a yes I like you.

The most important indicator of a man's feelings for a woman is if he calls her after getting into her pants. If he doesn't call after getting some, you can be sure there's no chemistry!

well, a gentleman would be kind and attentive, phone calls, although not excessively, respectful of her time, plan first few dates, expresses interest in wanting to be with her.  I guess this would be the knight... not sure if there are too many left. or they are in hiding.

Depends on the guy.  A high-minded, romantic type might begin by leaving poetic gifts or some other form of anonymous clues to enhance the experience before revealing his feelings.  A neanderthal type might just grab her ass.  There's quite a sliding scale in between.

Hahaha, tell me about it! tongue

Well lets just say it's a gentleman and no physical contact has occurred yet smile

The key here is genuine interest, not the 'hots'. I'm doing this for a series on genuine and honorable behaviors between men and women.

Keep the thoughts coming. I have to admit I am a bit shady on this one. There must be some general rules of thumb or tell- tail clues? big_smile

Time will tell if he is honest or not. Look for signs and signals of dishonesty. Are there holes in his stories? Does he get defensive when crossed?  Does he follow up with phone calls as promised?  Does he show up when he says he will? Have you noticed any 'half-truths' in his answers?  Does he omit things that later are revealed as a surprise?

I wrote Hub on this very thing.

If a guy is shy then she may never know. Maybe include a section on paying some attention to the quiet guys.

I've always thought girls already know when a guy likes them. Isn't that one of a girl's powers? But when it comes to shy guys who may in fact turn out to be great boyfriends, girls seem clueless. They'll go for the extroverted dude who turns out to be a jerk every time.

    Good luck with you project!

His eyes change. When he looks at you, there is that... deep pure look.
This sign means he is truly into you, whatever he says or does.

Listen, it's simple. A guy can like and not do anything. This only means he likes you but not enough. When a guy likes you, he'll let you know. He'll be overt about it. If he's not making an overt move but flirts with you, he's undecided.

He will invite you to hang out with him or his friends.
    Play with your hand.

Personally, men are naturally assertive -pro and con- but it is in our make up. When I liked a women, just to like I usually was politely evasive and a little less chatty. When I was more than liking a women, it was straight to the point. I never minced words or played the delay game.

A very key factor is eloquence, style and honesty.
My wife is ever-so-used to being hit on -blond, blue eyed, tall, eastern European. Most men either went overboard with tonin or went kiddo-land being too silly. When we first met, i was intrigued, but played not interested. Second time we spend three days together between the SoHo grand hotel lounge and the Jersey shore. Been together ever since...

You want to talk, he's there to listen....You feel like sharing, he wants to.. just as much. You need space, he moves back but waits. You push him away, he still hopes. He never wants to leave even having known the worst about you. In short, he's just there for you - yet without being overbearing. As simple as that. smile

If he is not calling, texting or emailing you, he's not interested. Assuming he is doing those things, the best way to know if a man is just a player, is to tell him that you will not have sex with him until your wedding night, and mean it. That will separate the men from the boys in an instant. If he is a player, he will move on to an easy target. If he wants YOU, he will do what you require of him. Women have all the power but we give it away to easily and cheaply these days.

If a man is interested in you, he will keep frequent contact with you.  Also, your conversations should reflect what his values are. He will also want to spend quality time with you, outside of his residence by taking you on dates.  If he's into sex only, you will spend most of your time together at his place.
