I don't really understand how I can make money when no ads have been clicked but adsense informs me my blog has earned me a cent. How can such a thing be? I'm not complaining mind you but on my blog I mostly just ramble or spout random thoughts and I'm pretty sure Blatva is the only person who actually follows it in any manner (love ya babe). As a rule I only type things on my blog that I enjoy there's no keyword research or marketing except pitches for my sites that are for money. Obviously reality has made a mistake cause there's no way I could make even a cent doing something fun AND easy.

I remember when I made my first penny, it is awesome. I was trying to explain to people, it is a time, per impression thing. Imagine it's the Super Bowl, and the Betty White, snickers commercial plays. Snickers paid a lot to place that ad. Now I am playing a video game on line, and the same commercial comes up during the intermission. How much did snickers pay for that ad? It depends on the number of people who were likely to see it.

No click, just ad before my eyes, once every half hour, for 18 seconds. HMMM. You see it is as much about content, and time as it is about clicks. Maybe I'll write a hub about snickers and see what happens, lol.

Sometimes advertisers will pay per impression so you can actually maker a little money even if nobody clicks your ads. You will make considerably more when you get a few clicks though!

I was so excited to make my first 2 cents on Adsense that I wrote a hub about it and I keep a running estimated earnings total on it. Good for you.

    Nice work Falsor,
I think you share the revenue with hubpages, they get 40% of the clicks and you get 60% or something like that.  I think it was probably from an impression or it averaged out from a very low paying click.
