I wrote an article on high blood pressure on May 9 and submitted it to EzineArticles.com. Now I find out that someone called "SBX" has posted my article to hubpages without my permission. They are also collecting adsense on MY article. I emailed this person and told them to take it down immediately. I also emailed hubpages and told them this person stole my article. Nobody has responded, and the article is still up on SBX's hub.
How do I submit this article under my name and get credit for it, instead of SBX?
The link for my article is here:
http://hubpages.com/hub/High_Blood_Pres … s_Can_Help
As you can see, it's copyrighted in my name. My name is at the bottom of the page, and the link to my website is there, too.
What is going on?
I'm upset that somebody stole my work and is making money on it. What can I do to put it on my own hub?
Darlene
Hello Darlene,
I understand that you are upset with the practice of people republishing articles posted on ezinearticles for profit. I personally find it distasteful and feel that it is not in the spirit or best interest of the HubPages community. You should be aware however that once you submit an article to the ezinearticles web site you are as part of your user agreement allowing others to freely copy it provided they make no changes. I don’t know if the HubPages user SPX violated those terms, but if you don’t want people copying your work you should remove it from ezinearticles. You should also be aware that most article sites have the same terms and conditions with regard to duplication of content.
These are the terms you agreed to and that are imposed on publishers who use your material
---------------------------------------------------------------
You have permission to publish this article electronically or in print, free of charge, as long as you leave the article title, author name, body and resource box in tact (means NO changes) with the links made active and you agree to our posted publisher terms of service.
-------------------------------------------------------------
I hope this helps,
Hedgeek
Hi Darlene,
But this is why you publish articles at directories like ezinearticles.
You publish them because you WANT them to be used on other websites and blogs. This is what article directories are all about.
The only thing that people have to do when using your article, is to include your recource box - which contains the backlink to your site.
Believe me, you will benefit tremendously if hundreds of people use your articles on their sites and blogs because you will get hundreds of one-way backlinks.
So your issue with that user should be whether or not he included your resource box and link. If he did then this is within the terms of ezinearticles. This is called content syndication (but not stealing:-)
Hello Darlene,
Sorry to inform you here but you are wrong in this matter . As you stated in your post "As you can see, it's copyrighted in my name. My name is at the bottom of the page, and the link to my website is there, too."
You are actually in violation of ezinearticles agreement and terms which you agreed to when you singed up. Asking for the content to be removed is completely wrong
I will check back in 72 hours and hopefully by then the hub will be credited back to SBX. If not i will report this matter to the fine folks over at ezinearticles then they can handle this matter.

In reviewing my traffic sources recently, I noticed that I was getting traffic from a site called traffup.com, which I had never heard of before. I went to the site and signed up for it to see what it was all about, and found that someone had posted a link there to one of my hubs. I thought...

Is it alright to submit my published hub articles to ezinearticles? Does this break HubPages policy?I have checked ezinearticles policy - they are ok, so long as I can prove that I am the original author. I've also checked Google Webmaster Guidelines which says 'Duplicate content on a site is not...
