Do you laugh when someone falls down?

    Yes, I do. I guess it is an instinctive thing - if not with all, at least with me. But, this applies to only harmless falls, or what looks harmless to me to be specific.

    If it looks like a bad fall, I don't seem to break into laughter. I am not sure if others feel this way too, but that's been my experience!!

    no, i don't. i always cringe when i see those things on shows like AFHV...i don't know why they think those are funny.

    one time i was walking from my car into my building. i was wearing these cute mary janes with stacked heels. well there were a bunch of my coworkers outside (engineers) and they were all smiling, good morning etc. and so i wasn't watching where i was going and my heel caught on the edge of the sidewalk and grabbed me, pulling me forward so that i fell down hard. ugh i felt so embarrassed. of course they all ran over and picked me up, are you ok? etc. and i was as red as a beet. my nylons got holes in the knees and the heel of my left hand was scratched and bruised, but i was ok.

    then all morning long people kept coming over or calling saying 'ooh i heard you took a nasty spill' etc.

    i just wanted to forget about it. i wish i could have laughed at it. normally i can laugh at myself with no problem but not when i fall. i feel all clumsy and stupid.

    When I fall and break things, I don't think it's funny. When I just trip and fall or someone else fall and not get hurt; I laugh. It's really a sign of relief.
