A Lane Bryant TV Ad for clothing for "Plus-sized" women has been censored and pulled from ABC and Fox because the Ads are too revealing" for family time TV.

    http://www.mediaite.com/tv/oreilly-fact … -cleavage/

Give me a freaking break.....Remember Loni Anderson in a TV show {BayWatch}with only a bikini????? And to mention many other TV Ads with skinny women wearing almost nothing???

Sounds more like the "Modeling Industry" throwing a fit that Women can be Plus-sized and have nice clothes and look sexy and beautiful!!!

I would take a woman with some meat on her bones any day rather than a fragile toothpick who looks like she would break if you sneezed at her.

        That was plus size?

        Looked healthy to me.

This kind of stuff is just incredible.  There's all sorts of dodgy stuff on TV (violence and violence-with-a-twist-of-sex)... and they're getting their Y-fronts in a twist over a bit of cleavage?

I definitely think there's a touch of gynophobia going on in film- and tellyland.

LOL, am skinny not by choice I ate a lot, I prefer myself to gain more weight I am now 100 lbs but I am short so it is proportional,
      slim is all
and yeah I prefer more women who have skin in them, and the curtailment of that commercial is absurd,

The concept of beauty as "thin is in and beautiful" is being perpetuated by media and enetrtainemnt industry and this is just crazy

hmm that was on par with ads for Victoria's Secret. i wonder what they are so upset about.

They claim too much cleavage. Like more is not shown in other commercials or TV shows.

When was Loni Anderson on BayWatch?!I think you've got your buxom blondes mixed up.

But in any case, if you're into fat chicks that's up to you.

OOps, Pamela Anderson. lol Loni was all buxom on WKRP also. Thanks Sab
But the commercial is not about anyone being fat.  It at least doesn't promote a woman having to be a size 1 or smaller to be sexy!

It didn't look over the top to me. That commercial would have certainly got my attention though!

Perhaps they thought that she was "hanging out" in too many of the right places? I mean, it didn't bother me any, but ya lol.

I saw no issue with the commercial. I would not have thought anything inappropriate about it until it was pulled.

I'm with Padrino on this...looked to me like that woman WAS skinny with big boobs. She had curves. Is that what we're calling plus-sized (read: fat) these days? Crikey.

I do believe this is probably a matter of creating controversy. At the very least, if this commercial is too salacious it may be because it implies that the woman is going to meet her lover for "lunch" wearing nothing but lingerie and a trench coat. Put a man in his trench coat and what he wears for sex on Prime Time and what are you looking at? lol

    Silly stuff.

But I do LOVE Lane Bryant...speaking as a big beautiful woman...Why I'm wearing their clothes right now. That's right guys...just imagine me in that ad...LMAO! Seriously, if you're a lady (and even if you're not), the Cacique bra line is totally awesome.

They ought to be paying me...but they're not. sad

Maybe that’s why they’re all up in arms

Are they changing their image or something?

I didn't see anything offensive or upsetting about the ad.  I am also a busty plus-size woman and I don't see what the problem is, especially if skinny girls are allowed to dress like that on advertisements.

It could all have been a clever marketing strategy from the get-go. Look at how many people are talking about it.

This is a really good point and, if true - very clever.

I found the ad to be reasonable and the woman in the commercial is very attractive.

If Sab Oh is right, then this ad/vid will probably be talked about like crazy, aired in minimal clips for weeks on sideline news spots on TV, then finally released "in full" to run as normal...once everyone and their auntie, neighbor, grandpa, etc., has had a chance to debate about the rightness or wrongness of the commercial.

Everyone will be paying full attention if the ad is re-circulated in full...yep, could be a really good plan.

I just looked at the ad.  To me, if I didn't know what the issue is "supposed to be", I could see the add as being too "salacious" no matter how thin or not-thin the model is.  I see more as a matter of the whole situation/actions of the model going on around the cleavage, rather than the cleavage, itself. Maybe I'm just weird.

Only difference between this model and the Victoria Secret Models is this one looks like she has real boobs and curves. I reckon that was part of the problem. Very pretty girl.

I don't know what shows fox airs, but the commercial didn't show any more than many shows or billboards, store fronts that kids are exposed to everyday.

I saw the pic and while she was a bigger woman, she wasn't nearly as big as some make her out to be.  Nice cleavage besides!
