I need help.  SInce yesterday, I have received 10 "Thumbs Downs" on one article.  The article is entitled "20 Greatest Moments in Super Bowl History."  The artilce has been up for more than a month and priod to yesterday, it had one thumbs up and one thumbs down.  Then, all of a sudden, I get ten thumbs downs in a row.  Now, I may not be the greatest hubber, but my score dropped from 96 to 94 because of this.  I have a good idea of who is doing this.

Does anyone know what I can do about this?  Please help!!

It sucks  when people do that! It amazes  me that some people have nothing better to do with their time. Unfortunately, there is  nothing  we  can do to stop people from giving us the thumbs-down. The only thing we can do to try to get  our hubscore back up is to keep publishing  more quality hubs and  keep interacting on  the forums and on others' hubs. It's annoying. Try not to let it bother you.

Thanks Colleen. But I gotta tell you, this is a directed attack.  Prior to this incident, I had 231 thumbs ups and 11 thumbs down.  Then, in literally a few hours, I get 10 thumbs-downs.  And it's not even a political article.  I think it's a little sabotage.  The worst part of it is that I know the culprit, but I am not sure how I can prove it.

Just smile, cos all the time they spent giving you thumbs down results in pretty much nothing.

Someone - yes someone, not someones - gave me about 30 yesterday.

It's almost flattering to know someone is thinking about me so much. wink

I have a suspicion something similar happened to me a few months back...after a post on the forums, I have an idea of who might have done it.  I followed everyone's advice back then and just let it go.

this kind of thing is trackable and whomever it was would be dumb to do it more than twice on the same hub or on several hubs by the same person.. use your head people.. their was a forum post on IP addresses I believe.. they must not have read that (although this is pretty much common sense these days as having a liscence is to drive (and you can be tracked by your liscence lol)

James, I sent you some private emails.  We don't just use the raw thumbs up and down totals as you see them when we compute HubScore -- some votes count more than others, and some don't count at all.   In short, it really isn't worth worrying about a small burst of thumbs down.

I've had that happen. It sucks... Well, not 10 thumbs down in a row. But everytime a certain hubber left a comment, I'd receive a thumbs down on the same hub...

I have no such thumbs down. Guess it's because I'm not competing for SEO articles.

Try adding your articles to technorati or delicious because this way they will be indexed to other directories that relate to your niche. Try it

Punks James thats all. I dont know how long you have been writing
but some of your subjects people wont like. Screw them !! he he
    You will take flack.

No everything isnt traceable online, TCIP is complicated and gets exploited
easily.Especially windows platforms. I have been hacked, jacked and cracked so many times in 10 years its not even funny.

Anyway just my opinion James.   By the way Love your hubs!!!!  You must be doing something right if they are reading your hubs ;-)
