"In a stunning development the LA Times has declined to endorse Barbara (Senator, not ma'am, please) Boxer for re-election on the ground that she's failed to exhibit intellectual leadership."

The LA Times saying this indicates a change like a needle does an earthquake. Maybe they'll turn on Feinstein next. One can only hope . . .

I think the LA Times finally got something right.

Yeah, a small miracle in itself. Unfortunately a whole lot of Californians still don't get it.

Yes I did. Hmmm, maybe. Time will tell. I hope he's not gone permanently.

The LA Times is fairly conservative. Did you not know that? Maybe you assumed every bit of mainstream media has a liberal bias without knowing anything about the specifics.

Or maybe I have read it? roll

Your idea of conservative is far different than mine.

Livelonger is in San Francisco so maybe he was actually serious. Anyplace or newspaper outside of San Francisco would seem "fairly conservative" in comparison.

The conservatives haven't noticed that California elected Saint Ronnie a long time back - Arnie is GOP - and Southern California is infested with radical conservatives. The main reason CA can't straighten out their money is because GOP state senators in the minority can block reform.

When was the last time California went to a Republican in a Presidential campaign? That would have been 1988, Arnie is about as conservative as McCain, which ain't too much!

The ONLY reason CA is such a financial mess is squarely because of the dem legislature.

Hm, I wonder why the "fairly conservative" L.A. Times endorsed Obama AND Boxer in 2008...?  Or were they just "fairly confused" back then? lol

We have quite a few dimbulbs in the Republican party, the difference is we admit that and don't cover their incompetence with lies and "its Bush's Fault"!
