When registering at social bookmarking sites, do we truthfully put our profile in hubpages in the profile or do we pose as some else?
    What's the best choice here?

    Pros and cons! Debate! smile

I wouldn't post false information - one of the best ways to create an online network of sites for yourself is by branding yourself the same everywhere you go - it's a much better practice in the long run.

That said, if you don't want people to know who you are, then don't divulge information on any site. I always put black friday, 1929 - the fall of the stock market as my birthday, because I don't think people need to know my real age. I don't think that practice in any way breaks the law or violates trust - I'm merely deciding to keep some information private that is often required to create an account.

There can be no debate. If you are not who you say you are, then you cannot be trusted.

You become an active member of an interactive community via online/internet, and you falsely represent yourself, you are in violation of U.S. FCC Laws. Applies to American citizens.

If your interaction is with a Company based in the U.S., which means, their home office is on U.S. soil, and you interact with American citizens, then you are also to follow those guidelines.

Should you not, there could be huge problems.

    Just a thought.

I just thought I muddy the water a little bit here.

      Your coment:

Is what started me to thinking..,.it's probably easier to say where in certainly America and I presume around the world where lying, stealing, pretending to be ignorant of something doesn't occur?  How many people out of the thousands in jail plea innocence only to be found guilty?  I guess what I'm asking is Who Can You Trust?
