Once before when I began to have brisk activity on my hub Jillisa Lynn Conquers Vegas.

At that time I scrambled to comply whit what were suppose to be the rules of the road for publishing hubs.

However I have also noted that there are other hubs that go much further than mine in crossing the rules of content and tags.

There are about three women, who have been given positions of authority here on the hub pages, and it really works out on a day to day basis whether they feel something is acceptable or not.

My hub recently passed the 51,000 mark with out an honorable mention, I found that amazing but then again this is the Hubpages.

the only people making money here are those at the top and there teachers pets.

Fortunately since I joined the Hub Pages I have been able to make money writing on other sites.

And I feel that if you want to maintain this site as a gated community who am I to thwart your  goals.

You may feel free to delete all of my post and consider yourselves fired.

this has turned into one of those communities where every one has to put out Pumpkins on Halloween, I don't celebrate Halloween.

for the next few days I will be moving all my posts to a different site.

Ummm...Are you seeing some sort of "honorable mentions" that I'm not?? I can hardly even tell what you're complaining about.

Editing is your friend. What the heck does "it really works out on a day to day basis whether they feel something is acceptable or not" mean? If you have problems with other people's hubs, you need to flag them. Staff can't just figure out the content issues from thin air. If you have problems with the staff, then you probably need to actually contact the staff, and I'd say you'll find them more than willing to help you figure out what's going on with your Hubs, if anything.

Given your Hubscore (despite quality issues, and yes, I HAVE looked at your hubs), it seems to me you've got nothing to complain about.

Perhaps you do have a legitimate problem or issue, but given what you've written I can only discern that you're upset because three women have been placed in a position of authority. If that's what you're complaining about, then I'd say it will be a good break when you leave.

      Bye!

The moderators can't be everywhere at once. It's very possible for a Hub to slip under the radar for months if it's not flagged, it doesn't mean it's acceptable to HP.  So you're drawing the wrong conclusions.  If you see Hubs which you feel don't comply, flag them.

That's a breathtakingly silly comment, considering HubPages doesn't pay any of us a cent - it all comes direct from our own affiliate accounts, so HubPages has no influence on how much we're paid.

Congratulations!  51,000!  The most I have on any hub right now is 20,563.  I get no mentions, no achievement metals, and hardly any money.

Of any hubs that do make money they get very little traffic.  I am talking 13-20 views a day on 2-3 hubs that make money.  Your Lady Gaga does very well on the publishers den though. wink

-edit; I just noticed those accolades.  I didn't even know they were there.  Is that what you are talking about Jeromeo?  You have them too.  big_smile

I have been there and done that. Moved all my stuff to another site and cancelled the account here.

I came back after the major upgrade.

I know what your saying, but my thoughts were, come back, write some good stuff and try to be the quiet achiever.

So far that has worked for me. Maybe you could consider looking at it from a different angle. When I did come back I had a self imposed ban not to come to the forums for at least 6 months.

Still, you cannot go past the fact that HP is a great place for building solid backlinks and exposing affiliate offers that sell well. You might recall my name then as TerryG, hence the TerryGl now.

Leave your affiliate/promotional stuff here and populate your gems to the other site.

if you're referring to anyone with an Elite on their profile, anyone can sign up to help in a specific category. as far as I understand, they are not appointed. people sign up on their own.

Hubs that cross AdSense guidelines should be flagged.  If you know of things that cross those lines, and don't report, then you are not helping the community.

Lots of views does over time mean that your hub will appear on the front page.  Much of that is based on high amounts of traffic in a short amount of time.

As to making $, anyone who is willing to learn how and make the time investment will succeed.  Unfortunately, certain topics make more than others.  You have to write what people want to read and what others are trying to sell, in order to prosper.

Some sites pay for traffic.  If that is the type of site that you are earning on, then your writing may be better off somewhere else.

As people have already said, if there are other hubs out there that go further than yours, you should flag them.  They probably haven't come to our attention.
