I forgot to tell you what I did. I worked the morning shift and didn't get home until after 4:30 but my oldest was home from college and gave me a bouquet of beautiful flowers in a vase and my other two and my hubby all gave me this gigantic suncatcher with dangly glass decorations. It's beautiful and I ended up having a great Mother's Day although I had to work for part of the day.

      Beautiful!
Glad you had a good day!

I got a yummy ice-cream cake from one son,  and from the other a clock that says "I love you all the time" with pictures of my new granddaughter inside it.   Now everytime I look at the clock I see her precious face too.  smile

I had a very nice day, thank you. My wonderful son took me out to breakfast, my daughters and husband bought and installed a new washing machine -badly needed, my eldest daughter cooked dinner, and my youngest brought me a lovely bouquet of flowers from my own garden.

Just a lovely day all around. Thanks for asking!

Your family must really love you. That's great that you got a new washing machine. I'm still waiting for a dishwasher.

    I can't belive I forgot mother's day.. I have'nt even called mother yet.

Happy mother's day to all you ladies... For raising us and never giving up on us even when we mess up time and time again. You put up with us and our father's ... and maybe mother in laws.....lol...

I really have absolute respect!!!!! When I was born my mom didn't have anywhere to go or any place to stay. I was born in winter and apparently she only had a worn out t shirt on and a skirt. I was wrapped in her jersey. She has told me she even thought of dropping me in the dust bin but she just couldn't get herself to do it. Anyways to cut the story short, SHe stuck it out. When I was about 4 yrs old, we used to sell vegetables , going from door to door. I saw her going back to school and going to college. I remember how happy she was when she bought her house. She sent me and my sister to the best schools and she couln't really afford it but she pressed on.

Before I bore all of you... I just want to say Bravo to all of you!!!!! I hope you had a fantastic day!!!!!!!

I hope all of you had a wonderful Mother's Day.  To me, it is all about family.  Although not everyone may be a mom, everyone has a mom.  So, this day to celebrate mom affects us all.

I spent my day with family. We don't do presents but I did receive flowers.   Had a big family meal which means I love.  My kids are great and we always have fun when we are all together.  Funny how much more you enjoy your grown kids when they don't live you anymore. smile

this is an excitng year for me because my oldest son is getting married in Nov. SO, my son and his fiance and her mother and my youngest son enjoyed an amazing brunch at a beautiful country club, then we went to my soon to be in- laws home to finish putting together the guest list and discuss a few other details!!

received potted flowers for my garden and $ towards a big screen tv. we're going this week to make the purchase. excited!

I feel very lucky. thanks for asking, and nice to hear other mothers had a special day.

I got a hug from my two kids and then worked in my yard. The kids wanted so bad to buy me something but neither are old enough for a job so I told them to make me something or just find some way to let me know. They each hugged me, smiled and told me they loved me. Coming from a 15 yr old and a 13 year old that meant a lot to me. But I had to remind my husband to call his own mother. haha.

It was a really nice day for me.  My two grown sons and grown daughter (and their father) were all here.  Having them all together always makes a nice day.  I was given flowers and some beautifully put together gift bags.  Among the gifts, one son gave me the movie, Avatar.  He said it was because someone in the movie said something I "often say" (which made the gift seem particularly personal).  So after the get-together was over I indulged in just sitting and doing nothing but watching the two-hour movie.  Since I'd been given a new handbag, I then moved stuff from the old one into the new one - and pretty much stretched the "glow" of the day into the wee hours.   smile

My son did a preschool activity where the teachers asked him fill in the blank questions about me.  According to him I am ten inches tall, weigh ten pounds and he wouldn't trade me for a dollar.  Very cute!  I also took my mom and son out to dinner..
