Why is the word “love” so overused these days?? and why is “love” itself so fake nowadays? How can you tell someone “i love you” when you dont even know what it truly means? Who knows what love is? Happy of them who can say that they know how exactly... true love feels like… I know i dont… I know i never did…God knows if I ever will… but i am sadly part of the idiotic crew that says ” i love you” a million times.

Love me, then ! ![]()
So stop saying it.
I think most people misuse the word "love" because they don't understand the meaning. Heck, I don't fully understand it either and I've probably said it many times and didn't mean it. In time, we'll all learn and experience the true meaning of "love."
Say what you mean, mean what you say. You know what I mean?

Me too...but I do tell my kids that I love them all of the time, and I mean it.
As far as falling in love..all of the time!

yes...my child is the one constant where love is concerned. i always say i would throw myself in front of a speeding train to protect him while fending off a firing squad and chopping off both of my arms and legs in the process
nobody else merits that kind of unconditional love as far as i am concerned.

And I agree with that statement 100%! Except, I have to add the grandkids to that list as well.
you look too young to have grandchildren.
i will someday. i can't wait!
Love is something you feel. Its a feeling that you only truly know if you are in love.
I have been married to my wife for over 21 years and I do truly know what love feels like. Everytime I tell her I love her which is several times a day, I do sincerly mean it.
I too have told her that I would do anything for her. In fact I have told her if it meant her living I would giver her my heart.
Love is real and you will know when you are in love.
I think love comes in many forms. far better to love than to ponder on it too heavily and miss out... remember the song, 'love the one you're with'? sounds good to me. ![]()
I also think love is different with different people. It's strange that way, but my definition can change from person to person. I'm talking romantic love here, not the love I have for my family and niece and nephew.

I'm 45, and they're beautiful!

I think the problem lies in it's meaning. It is such an ambiguous word that we tend to get it mixed up with it's connotation; like when we use it in a casual sense versus when we mean it in a more romantic sense.
The Eskimos have 7 or 8 different words for snow. We should have the same thing for love, but we don't. There's romantic-love, family-love, and even that infamous "I love you but I'm not in love with you - love" (which simply means I care deeply about you but I'm not in love with you).
I like men who have a future and love women who have a past.![]()

I Love You!
The real definition of Love is actually in the Bible. Surprised? You shouldn't be. In Greek, there's FOUR words to say love. The best of them all is AGAPE! Research it!!
