What's the best Halloween candy a kid wants to get? What were the best treats you got as a kid?
When I was a kid, the houses that gave the regular-sized candy bars were the best. Now, I just want to steal my kids' mini snickers bars to put (who am I kidding...to hide behind the bag of frozen peas on the top door shelf) in the freezer and eat later.
Definitely loved the regular-sized candy bars the best. Hated the candy corn, bit-o-honeys and the kind that's similar to bit-o-honeys in the orange and black wrappers. What IS that stuff?

It's peanut butter taffy.
Fav was anything tart, sweet tarts, tiny tarts, lemon heads etc.
Candy corn! I always try to eat each layer separately. Oh man, now I'm craving some...
CHOCOLATE!!!! Oh you said kids? Dang it! lmao
Zots!
I went Trick or Treating before there was much talk about wrapped candy, so people would fill bags with unwrapped candy or popcorn. Some people even just threw in a handful of candy corn or other candy into the bottom of the bag. I REALLY hated those Halloween candies that come in the shape of pumpkins and other Halloween stuff. I don't even know what on Earth they're made of. None of it was appealing to me. However...
Mrs. Boyd across the street gave out full-size Nestle bars - excellent. Also, there was a store up the street that gave out small bags of potato chips - also excellent. I'd eat those two items and leave the rest until my mother eventually threw it out. ![]()
Candy Corn! Nothing beats them!
Candy corn, definitely. Usually only have some during that time of the year (if even then!).

I buy candy corn and wrap it with orange or black ribbons or leave it in dishes around the house because it adds to "traditional Halloween atmosphere". Nobody in my family ever eats it.
I also give out packets of it with the "good" candy bags - just to be traditional.
chocolate chocolate chocolate chocolate chocolate!!!!! sorry lmao
Crazd, you have to write about a chocolate monster.
Favorite candy: CHOCOLATE!!!!
Anyone like these classics?
Twizzlers
Dots (the ones stuck on a strip of white paper)
molasses kisses (wrapped in orange and black paper)

That's good to see. They'll be in my treat bags this year. I have 5 bags of them, waiting to go.
