There are people with smaller and larger than normal feet sizes and I wonder how you manage with purchasing shoes.
My wife wears wide and she does her shoe shoping at 'Clarks'.
clarks shoes is the best for me- as i have long feet and skiny
It is very difficult to find my shoe size because i have to get a wedge and it has to be size 11 wide.If its in my size and it's not cute i wont get it.So i will be walking around the store for about 20 minutes.
I don't have any feet! ![]()
I have feet in a standard size, but I STILL find it hard to buy shoes. Most of the women's shoes you can buy at the moment have these enormously high heels. Since my main form of transport is walking, I give these a miss.
I'm a guy who wears womens clothes and shoes exclusively. I'm lucky in that I have small feet. I wear a size 8.5 in women's so it's very easy for me to find shoes that fit.
I find it difficult to get anything "nice" because I live in Costa Rica.![]()
buying shoes is always a task to me, and sometimes takes weeks before i get the good ones.
You see, i have a size 46/47 european measures(don't know in American measures).
but know that the average 182cm large male has an average of a size 42.
Almost all shoesizes go to 45 and only a small selection is available for the bigger sizes. and then u still need a shoe that you like, on average i need to go to 10 shoe stores before i find 1 pair i like and fits like a glove.
The issue for me (size 10, wide) is that I believe my size is a very popular size. There are never enough of those cute shoes to go around!
It is a hassle to try and find shoes that fit well; my toes need a larger toe box so that I can move them around.
I also like wearing heels, even though I am six feet tall, but it is hard to find heels in my size. I should make my own shoes.
I do find it hard sometimes because they never have shoes that I like or think are "cute". I wear 8 1/2 but the shoes that they have aren't what I consider "cute" or my style.
I wear a size 9 1/2. There is always something wrong. Either the shoe is too high, too tight, too loose; it is hard to find a shoe that fits comfortably and looks nice.
There is an old proverb . . .
"I used to complain that I had no shoes, until I met a man who had no feet".

When I lived in Boston, I would occasionally go to Midnight interactive showings of the Rocky Horror Picture Show. In order to fully immerse myself in the experience, I would typically dress to impress in a decidedly gender confused get-up. Naturally, the hardest item to shop for was shoes.
My size is fairly small for a guy just under 6' tall. I'm a men's 10, but my feet are wide, which presents a problem when I'm trying to squeeze into a pair of slender high heels. Typically I find something, but it always comes down to "what will fit" rather than "what looks good."
I have no problem finding shoes in my size. I do have trouble finding dress shoes that fit my feet and my lifestyle, however. To me, women's dress shoes are just torture devices we think we have to buy and use in order to look presentable for special occasions. If it were up to me, I'd make every dress shoe as comfortable as my hiking boots or running shoes.
I am a man who if very much into ladies shoes. I love wearing high heel pumps and open toe sandals. I am a size 10 wide which is sometimes hard to find. What I am finding now is very high heels that are very uncomfortable to wear whoever designed these shoes should be taken out and beaten with them!!!

I'll check out Clarks. I wear a 6 wide, Thanks to years of high-heal running.
I wear 11w and they are hard to find. Shopping in the malls with friends who love trying on shoes is tough, because it seems most the stores stop right at 10w. So there I stand, left out as they model their shoes.
Grrr!
