I am also a coin collector, I look for the mint mistakes and have come across many.  If you want to share knowledge about coin collecting I'm all ears and have some pointers.  I've read many books on the subject.

I don't collect too many modern coins, but errors are a good way to make
money in coins. As long as you get them early n the cycle.
I like silver coins best. Like morgan and peace dollars. Half dollars and silver dimes too.
Buffalo nickels ar a favorite of mine.
I also look for the key dates and usually get these first.
I am a coin and sport card dealer.
Give me an idea of what you question are,,,
I will answer the best I can.  Too much kowledge in my head...LOL

Nice to see fellow coin collectors here.

I am in a Silver Coin Collecting program. It is a great way to collect Silver Eagles. With the value of the dollar dropping and silver and gold increasing daily, it is a great inexpensive way to start collecting silver coins.

I have lots of coins in my collection (read that "accumulation"), but none are rare or valuable. I have rolls of wheat ear pennies, various dollar coins, Kennedy half dollars (some with silver) and lots of miscellaneous. It's not worth anything, but my most unusual item (for me) is a 5,000 Mark note from the Hitler era.
