Do you believe that God is still speaking to His people? And if you do, what has He said to you lately?
You must spend time with Him not just talking to Him and making your request known but listening to Him as well. I'll give a personal example. Several months ago, in my prayer time I heard Him say ... the time is coming for you to move ... I Am going to be moving you soon. Well, I took Him to mean that my landlords were getting ready to ask us to leave perhaps in a few months. Well, you may have heard about the floods that hit Georgia in September. Our basement apartment flooded and we were forced to move immediately, now you might think that is a bad thing but look at how God worked it for our good. I was invited to stay with my ministry leaders who have prayed with me and encouraged me. As my daughter and I looked for a place to live, we asked God to order our steps ... the first place we went was absolutely perfect and we are "Oooing" and "Ahhing" over it. As I am standing there, I hear the soft voice of the Lord say, "No." A few minutes later as I am wrestling with whether or not I had really heard a "No." My daughter says to me, "Mommie (my special spelling of the word for her), you know God is saying "No" right?" I stand in awe of God ... He was telling us both "No." at the same time. He then said, "I have something better for you ... just be patient and trust me." That's all I am going to share in this forum ... stay tuned as I share the rest of the story in my hub ... "Does God Still Speak to His People?"
Not so much what he says, it's how I feel when I pray. I know he's there and he'll guide me to the path.

That is the beginning .. I encourage you to continue and you will hear Him speak even more.
I was once in a situation where my daughter had to have a serious surgery and I was so fearful and worried because I have had all my children in situations at on time or another and God has always brought them through. and One day I heard the voice in my conscience say "You have not lost one yet." and I was lead to believe it was God talking to me,and my daughter went through surgery and recovered. another time my son choke to death off of pinto bean but daughter breath for him until we got to the hospital and the put him on a respirator to help him until they could figure out what was wrong. I was lead to read 102 psalms where it said that these people was loosed from death, and that let me know that my son was going to be alright. he survived at twenty three months old.The answer to your question, yes I believe God still talk to people through words, the bible and subtle actions. creativeone59

Yes, indeed He does still speak in the ways you mentioned ... His Word is definitely a tool of communication through which He speaks.
Yes and thinking about it right now, it's always been totally unexpected things. Once I was driving to go help someone but suddenly it was like their names were across my windshield and a different name was stamped across theirs. I ignored the first time, it was too weird, then it happened again. I turned my car around and went to the house of the person I apparently was SUPPOSED to be going to see - I found her standing on her porch and she said, "I was hoping you'd come." She wanted to accept Jesus, love God, it was amazing.
Seems that it's always like that for me.

Yes, I believe I talk to my people...wait, yes, I stick with my assessment.
Ya .... he once said to me that you will become awesome hubber .....
No, that would be pointless. I believe every single thing that is in this universe right now is simply a part of him, he doesn't really need to talk to them. God is a sine wave, and you are just a smaller wave, adding to the harmony.
Can't really have a personal, LOVING relationship without communication of some kind.

Why would I want to have a personal relationship with a being that transcends the idea of personal altogether? I don't seek to have a personal, loving relationship with god. I seek to have an understanding of him. You don't love your own limbs, you just feel them. Your limbs are a part of you. That is how I interpret EVERYTHING'S relationship with god.

True everything is god and one can communicate with the cosmos.
Its all you ![]()

Speak for yourself. Maybe it's because I'm a dancer, but I see my limbs a little differently. Granted, I bear a particular need for my arms and legs. God doesn't need us. I never chose to have any any need for arms or legs, but since I have and need them, I like them. God chose to create us. So God's love for us is greater than even my love for my arms and legs.
I love my limbs..I think it is fair to say, I am in love with my limbs.

A sine wave??

That's an opinion. I don't believe it.
You don't need your limbs. You want to keep them because they help you do something you like to do. You could live without one of them.
If you want to define your feelings for your limbs as love, I suppose that is up to you. I have a different opinion of god. I don't think we are a children, I think we are a part of him. We are part of one big algorithm that makes up the universe, and ties everything together. Then again, I have a very unique view.
Drej, I dunno if I'd classify that as love or lust. LEAVE YOUR RIGHT HAND ALONE! (or maybe you're lefty, I dunno)
