Did US servicemen die because of political correctness? I'm hearing now that the sick dog that killed all those people at Ft. Hood had been making radical statements for some time and no one reported/acted on them because no one wanted to be seen as discriminating against him because of his faith.

Yes, that's exactly what happened.  Thank you for your service to our country.  I sleep better at night knowing that vigilant watchdogs like you are making the world safe for democracy.

I agree, some of the things he was saying would have been shocking enough for anyone to say, but for someone in the military....

IF it's true and his statements were truly radical, the military brass should have done something obviously. I'd blame it more on military intelligence rather than PC. The army is hardly known for being politically correct.

The US Armed Forces, post sexual harrassment scandals, are COMPLETELY Different.  Are the Armed Forces still male dominated? YES.  Thats not to say that PC hasn't made its way into the Services. There are quotas and waivers filled and or granted to match a predetermined demographic statistic.

As opposed to your op which was thought-provoking and rationally presented?  At least my posts are intentionally comical.
