Why is joining Fan Clubs important?

    Fan clubs do not boost your HubScore, but if you do join too many, it will drop your HubScore like a rock.

    Let the fans come to you, they will through reading your work.  I only fan people whose work I enjoy reading.

    None of the above. 

    The place to meet friends is in the forums.

    Joining someone's fan club so they'll fan you back doesn't always work.  And as others have said, it can be bad for your HubScore if done to excess. 

    You join someone's fan club because you genuinely like their work and want to be notified so you can read anything new that they publish.  End of story.
