Their is this one book i read over and over in 5th grade, it had a series, it was about some lil red headed girl who was a trouble maker, its killing me that i cant remember the book :*(
One that really stands out to me is the great adventure books by Jim Kjelgaard who wrote "Irish Red", "Big Red" etc. all seen through the eyes of a dog and his child hood freind. Amazing indeed.
I don't know why, but my first seems to draw me back in time, something about Dick and Jane and "Run Spot run!" LOL Big fat crayons and finger paints too. Remember these anyone? Oh,and mimeographed paper. I loved that smell!
I had two favourite books when I was growing up. The first book I love was "Black Beauty" and the second book was "Little Women". I have seen Little Women as a movie several times on the TV. It is just a beautiful story about four sisters growing up in the days of the WAR. Their father is fighting and their mother looks after them alone. However, they all pitch in and help her and make her proud of them. Just a lovely story. BB
